GREAT PLACE TO STAY - GREAT ADVENTURES TO EXPERIENCE

                        5 of 5
When it comes to our family’s vacations, we have two simple, yet firm, requirements: a great place to stay and great activities to experience, and our recent stay at Casa Rana over-delivered on both. A great place to stay....... Casa Rana is a unique beachfront home on the north end of Ambergris Caye owned Richard and Diana. The grounds are immaculately maintained by Omar, and “friendly canine” services are provided by Hydro (Richard and Diana’s dog). The house is beautifully decorated and we made full use of the kitchen to work around some food allergy issues we have. There was more than enough room for the four of us and the media room was great for watching World Cup updates after a long day of diving or climbing ancient Mayan ruins. The bedrooms were awesome and the bath towels felt luxurious after long days on the water. Richard and Diana offered great help planning our stay and great support during our stay. Just like waiters in a fine restaurant, they were there when you needed them and invisible when you did not. But, it was the little things that stand out like Richard getting us fresh lobster from one of his local contacts (lobster season had just opened), or Diana showing my daughter the best places to hunt for shells (later giving my daughter several beautiful conch shells). And great activities to experience........ Richard’s knowledge and network of contacts on Ambergris Caye made planning much easier than if I had to do it from scratch. With Richards help, I was able to put together a plan that included a fishing trip, a tour of the Lamanai ruins on the mainland, scuba diving, snorkeling, and sailing trips. I followed Richards’s recommendations on whom to engage with on all these activities, and each one was a pleasure. Conclusion....... I highly recommend Casa Rana as a family destination on Ambergris Caye, Belize. The house is perfect for families and you can easily use it as a base for all the activities you plan. Richard and Diana provide great, unobtrusive, on-site support, and the vendors they have built relationships with deliver quality tours and adventures. A final thought for parents..... Wake up an hour before your kids, have a cup of coffee on the front patio, and relax. The view is amazing.

                        10 DAYS IN PARADISE..

                        5 of 5
My husband and I and two of our good friends recently stayed at the Villa Case Buena. It was our second time on the wonderful island of Ambergris Caye and their first ... we stayed at Wolfgang's casita three years ago. I could easily vacation in Belize, at Wolfgang's every year for the rest of my life. Wolfgang and his crew, Elden & Merta go the extra mile to make your stay there perfect! Wolfgang took us on a tour of San Pedro, showing us all the best places to shop and eat! The villa had everything we needed and more! If you're looking for a place to simply relax, read a book, soak in some sun, play in the ocean, then this is your place. I am going to miss waking up and having my coffee and coconut rum cream on the patio overlooking the ocean waters and feeling the ocean breeze.... then at some point we have to make the decision .... do we want to just sit here a little longer and just cut up some fresh fruit from Maria's roadside fruit stand for breakfast, or do we want to jump in our golf cart and ride into town to find a place for breakfast? Such decisions! Elden was so helpful to us -- getting us water taxi tickets at discounted prices for our day trip to the neighboring island of Caye Caulker. He also hooked us up with the right people for the most awesome day of snorkeling you can imagine. We chartered a sail boat (the four of us and the couple staying in the Casita), snorkeled in four locations, and while we snorkeled, the crew spear fished for our lunch, which was served to us on the sail boat. It was the highlight of our trip... also the best lunch we had on the island! We did have some other very good meals -- and you will find the best food and the best prices at the places where the locals go! One little gem was the Pupuseria Tipico Salvadoreno (we had great and cheap pupusas and the highlight was the lobster burrito (not like any burrito you've ever had). Robins for Caribbean Jerk Chicken.. and right next door is Harry's Burgers & Beer - good burgers & fish burgers. And of course there is Cookie (Wolfgang's loyal four-legged companion). Cookie was up to greet us every morning and just hang out with us! In the afternoon, we looked forward to greetinig Wolfgand, Cookie & his other dog Tiger coming back from their daily walk on the beach -- Cookie with his newly fetched coconut to add to his collection. Missing it already!

                        WONDERFUL PROPERTY AND STAFF

                        5 of 5
The property was clean and well maintained. The customer service was excellent. Consuela is a jewel! We enjoyed many meals at the house with fresh fish we had caught. Our vacation was more than we could have hoped for. Thanks
