Exceeded Expectations

5 of 5
Just returned from 2 glorious weeks at Casa Rana on Ambergris Caye in Belize. After months of planning with the help of Richard (the owner) we arrived at a beautiful oceanfront home to enjoy a vacation that exceeded our expectations. A 3 bedroom lovely decorated home with a well equipted kitcken, comfy beds, balconeys and decks with plenty of seating and a refreshing plunge pool. Our group, which included 3 of our adult children and 2 of their friends, took full advantage of all that was available to us. We relaxed at this wonderful home, kayaked out to Mexico Rocks to snorkel, took a daytrip on a catamaran to swim with the sharks and rays and also visit Caulker Caye, went to Mayan Ruins, had great Massages on the Palapa, and went fishing. We also had several nice Dinners at local Restaurants and one evening had two lovely Ladies come in and prepare a meal for us. Richard and Diana steered us in the right direction on all these activities, if they recommend something – take advantage, each recommendation was better than the previous one! Great Home, Great Location, Great Owners. Can’t leave out Omar, the caretaker and Hydro, the Dog.

Guests arriving at 18 Degrees North on July 15,2014

5 of 5
Our entire experience at 18 Degrees North was better than we could imagine. The owners Wes and Teresa were wonderful to deal with. They answered all of our questions and concerns. They own a fantastic rental. The house is beautiful and as comfortable as home. We had four adults in the house and were very satisfied with the space. The amenities in the home are great and very clean and well maintained. The pool, the view and even the hammocks are amazing. The pictures on the web site are accurate only it is far better than a photo. Ernesto is friendly, helpful and always ready to be of assistance. With his help we chose to experience some fantastic adventures such as snorkeling, seeing sea life and other sea treasures, visiting nearby islands, visiting Mayan ruins and fishing for and eating fish and lobster freshly caught by Ernesto and cooked by Samantha. Every activity we chose was great! We highly recommend this rental property to anyone thinking about a vacation. I have given the name 18 Degrees North to many of our friends and family that are considering a visit to Belize. We say go and enjoy. It is better than you can imagine!

CocoBeach resort

4 of 5
Arrival to the resort was coordinated and welcoming. The accomodations were terrific, very comfortable and nicely appointed. The pictures did not do the resort justice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was phenomenal, truly above compare. The pools were cleaned daily, the men were very meticulous and thorough. The grounds were beautiful, clean and pleasing. We ate at very interesting restaurants all over the island and did our research to choose wisely, we were pleased with the local flair and interesting options. We rented golf carts and it was an adventure as the road condition is very poor, the alternative is to take very expensive water taxis to San Pedro but neither is ideal. We took 3 excursions and had a fantastic guide, Ricky, who is the best of the best! The property is located perfectly to take advantage of the southern and the northern activities and restaurants. Volleyball, Mayan ruins fishing and snorkeling were the family favorite activities. Food was expensive, we were prepared for this but it was very expensive! The showers are not powerful, only a trickle if others in the unit are showering at the same time. The food at the resort is not good which is a shame as it forced us to leave the resort at lunch and dinner. Breakfast at the sister resort next door is terrific and a must. I would recommend staying here, but bring snacks and your wallet. Enjoy!
