Excellent, spacious, comfortable, convenient

5 of 5
This was our first experience with HomeAway and it was excellent. The apartment is spacious with many conveniences. Much better than a hotel room. It has a full kitchen with dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer. It has a compact clothes washer/dryer. There is a wifi internet connection. The second bedroom was perfect for our niece. TV has hundreds of channels, including a number of English language channels. Agnieszka, the owner, was very helpful. Her English is superb and way better than my French. To get around Brussels, take the #19 tram east from the stop named Valida to Simonis/Elisabeth Metro station. Note that Simonis and Elisabeth are co-located, so it is easy to get on a train going the wrong way. Valida is only half a block from the apartment. I suggest downloading the PDF metro map to plan your excursions at www.stib-mivb.be. The #19 tram also goes all the way to the Atomium (Centenaire). If you do laundry, another helpful document to download is the instructions for the washing machine. Google the manufacturer and model number. There are many restaurants and small markets nearby if you want to cook. The Chinese carry-out place across the street was very good. There is a larger Carrefour market about four blocks west, an easy walk or one stop west on the 19 tram. The apartment has a garage if you come by car. We used public transportation and did not need the garage. There is a small park right across the street with playground equipment for kids. If we return to Brussels, I would definitely like to stay at this apartment again.
