Great, Relaxing Vacation

5 of 5
I stayed at Chillax Roatan for a week last May. The property was very clean, including the kitchen (one of my pet peeves in rentals is the kitchen cleanliness). Tom and Zilla, the on-island managers, were attentive to our needs and available if we had needed them. There is a large ground-level deck that extends almost out to the pool, and an elevated deck off the master bedroom with a panoramic view of the ocean. The perfect place for afternoon drinks! The in-ground pool was great for afternoon dips. The weather while I was there varied from high 70's to high 80's, and the knoll that the house is on received nice breezes in the morning and afternoon. Roatan reminds me of the way the Caribbean was 50 years ago- no big hotels or all-inclusive resorts, 2 lane roads, and no building over 3 stories tall on the island. Chillax Roatan is about a mile from the West End, with scuba diving, snorkeling, and the night life- if that's what you're into. In my case, I went for a relaxing vacation, and I found it in this hideaway. I would recommend Chillax Roatan to a friend or relative without hesitation.

Beautiful villa with exquisite grounds!

5 of 5
We chose Sea Pool Villas to celebrate our 28th anniversary and were so glad that we did! The villa was beautiful, private, open and comfortable, and the grounds were absolutely first class. Brigitta & Jaw went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay and couldn't have been better hosts! Jaw delivered fresh fruit daily which was a special treat and both were so helpful in providing us with information about the island. The bird watching right off of our patio was wonderful and we even got to see a ray jump out of the water while we were eating breakfast! The palapas were a great way to relax and enjoy the true spirit of the Caribbean. Leaving Sea Pool Villas was difficult for so many reasons, but most of all, we felt like we were saying goodbye to long time friends, even though we just met Jaw & Brigitta 9 days before. Highly recommend staying at Sea Pool Villas while in Roatan.

Our New Favorite Home on Roatan

5 of 5
This is truly one of those homes that you don't want to leave for the duration of your vacation. If you do venture out, it's within walking distance (not for the faint of heart) of West Bay or a two minute car ride, yet still feels very secluded and away from it all. I easily made our reservation through Ruth, via email, and was greeted by Sam and Brad when we arrived at their office to pick up the keys. Sam went to the house with us and showed us where everything was and explained how all the gadgets work, along with loaning us a local cell phone. This house is not short on entertainment. There are TV/DVD combos in every bedroom and a big screen television in the living room, with a small selection of DVDs. There's a speaker on the back patio to hook your Ipod/phone up to so you can have music while you're on the deck or in the pool. The stainless steel kitchen appliances are top notch and there's an additional stand alone ice maker that sits on the countertop. This home more than enough dishes, cookware, utensils, silverware and drinking glasses of all varieties. There were only two of us in the house and we chose the back bedroom, nearest the pool, because of the amazing view of the ocean. The bed was extremely comfortable and had high quality bedding. We always had adequate water pressure and plenty of hot water for showers in the adjoining bathroom. My favorite part of the house was the view from the deck. I never got tired of hearing the waves crashing on the rocks, just a few feet from the infinity pool. The constant breeze was a bonus and helped to keep the bugs away. Speaking of the pool, it's very clean, a nice temperature and is surrounded by plenty of chairs, loungers and nice plush beach towels. This is our fourth time renting on Roatan and I think we've finally found the house that we'll definitely rent again.
