Great, Relaxing Vacation

5 of 5
I stayed at Chillax Roatan for a week last May. The property was very clean, including the kitchen (one of my pet peeves in rentals is the kitchen cleanliness). Tom and Zilla, the on-island managers, were attentive to our needs and available if we had needed them. There is a large ground-level deck that extends almost out to the pool, and an elevated deck off the master bedroom with a panoramic view of the ocean. The perfect place for afternoon drinks! The in-ground pool was great for afternoon dips. The weather while I was there varied from high 70's to high 80's, and the knoll that the house is on received nice breezes in the morning and afternoon. Roatan reminds me of the way the Caribbean was 50 years ago- no big hotels or all-inclusive resorts, 2 lane roads, and no building over 3 stories tall on the island. Chillax Roatan is about a mile from the West End, with scuba diving, snorkeling, and the night life- if that's what you're into. In my case, I went for a relaxing vacation, and I found it in this hideaway. I would recommend Chillax Roatan to a friend or relative without hesitation.

Roatan Holiday

5 of 5
This was our first trip to Roatan and we loved it! Your home offered everything we needed and the location was perfect for us. We had a rented vehicle so we were able to see much of the island and try many of the restaurants. Snorkeling right outside our door was a nice plus and we loved having use of the kayaks. People in the office were very helpful and all of the staff was very friendly even though we could not communicate with some of them. Would we go back--we certainly hope To! Thank you for making your home available to us!

Good Time

4 of 5
We were on Roatan for two weeks during February. This was our second trip here and since we had used Roatan Life Rentals before with great success, we decided to rent from them again. They are great and were quick to deal with any issues we had. Our blender wasn't working...and I wanted Pina Coladas...they got us a new one immediately! And, we had a small family of ants who had decided they liked our kitchen (you have to remember you are in the jungle) and Roatan Life came over right away and took care of the problem. This house is in a really nice location, with constant breezes that keep the bugs down, and easy access to West Beach. You really don't even need a car, though it was nice to have one. The house itself is a little quirky (as is true with most properties on Roatan). It has a coded lock box on the door, so it took a little practice to be able to open the door with one hand but we managed. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we really needed, including a working dishwasher. The view from both decks is amazing and it's an easy walk down the path to the community pool...where we were able to socialize with other Turtle Crossing occupants and owners. The only things I would suggest is it would be nice to have a king size bed in one of the bedrooms and the outdoor furniture could use a little upgrading (maybe just a coat of paint and some new seat pads). Oh...and the wicker couch set in the living room is really uncomfortable! But then, we really didn't spend much time inside watching TV anyway. Overall, this is a really good value for what you get...and we would definitely rent again.
