Best Place To Stay In Roatan

5 of 5
Infinity Bay is, by far, the best place to stay in Roatan. It has a beautiful infinity pool that looks over the crystal clear ocean. The temperature of the pool is so comfortable, you can stay in it for hours. However, you want to get out to head to the ocean - which is so clear it looks like pool water! The island's best snorkeling and diving is right there - steps away from Infinity Bay! No need to go anywhere else. Just after getting to the beach, there is a pier at which you can take a water taxi to other parts of the island, especially the West End. At this pier you can sign up for boat tours, rent stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, go parasailing, go on the banana boats and more. You can stay super busy or just relax on the beach. If you do stay on the beach, be sure to have your bug spray that contains deet. This resort is in a terrific location. No car is needed and you can just walk up and down the beach to a variety of restaurants. The grounds are well manicured and it's just a really nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. John was extremely easy to work with. He provided us with a lot of info about the island and answered any questions we had. The condo itself was very clean and had everything we needed. It fit six of us quite comfortably. We enjoyed sitting on the porch eating our breakfast in the morning or having a drink in the evening. It's located near the front of the building, which is actually a positive. In the evenings you do not hear the people at the pool or the music that may be playing at the pool bar. It's not noisy, so you can get a good night's sleep after a day of fun in the sun. We highly recommend John's condo. One of our favorite activities on the island was going to Anthony's Key for a dolphin experience. It was the highlight of our vacation for our kids! They also had fun playing in the ocean on a huge inflatable play are with a slide and trampoline just outside the resort for a small fee. The great thing about this location is it offers both quiet & relaxing settings as well as those with more activity. Thanks, John, for all your help. When we return to beautiful Roatan, we'll be contacting you again!

Honeymoon in Villa Tranquia

5 of 5
Our trip to Roatan and stay at Villa Tranquila was paradise! The accommodations were exactly what we had hoped for. It is obvious the owners of the condo have island comfort in mind and have everything anyone would need for an comfortable and delightful stay. Extremely accessible to the local restaurants, bars, dive shops, etc., everything is within walking distance. We will be visiting Villa Tranquila again very soon!

Perfect location to explore the island

5 of 5
Roatan is a beautiful island with a ton of character, friendly locals and a wide variety of things to do every day. We rented a 4x4 truck conveniently from the property manager, Mr. Kerry, and were able to explore the entire island. From the well-known (and rightly so!) white sand beaches & turquoise waters of West Bay Beach to Palmetto Point all the way to Paya Bay on the east end of the island. We also enjoyed the Sandy Bay beach a short walk from the house near Spooky Channel, even doing some fishing from the dock & hiring a boat from West End to pick us up there for a day to explore the waters. We really enjoyed hiking at Carambola Gardens, Arch’s Iguana Farm, zip lining, dolphin encounter at Anthony’s Key Resort, Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum, but especially loved our day spent at Hole in the Wall Bar near Jonesville for their all you can eat steak & lobsters. We also loved Rotisserie Chicken in West End. Casa Cervantes was the perfect size and layout for me, my husband and 2 boys. The pool was awesome for a quick dip and the palapa was nice too. The wrap around decks and outdoor seating with a view of the tips of the tropical trees and ocean in the distance was relaxing. There is a nice guava tree right outside the house and we picked fresh guavas for breakfast every morning and had the gardener open up coconuts with his machete for fresh milk too! Just make note that the house only has a wall AC until in the master bedroom that you can turn out at night. It did get a bit hot and stuffy for our boys and in the evenings, but they have fans and you can open up all the windows and doors to get a little cross-breeze. Also beware that although there is a washer/dryer, you are on an island so everything rusts so all of our clothes came out with rust stains, so wash with caution. The house has everything else you need, including beach towels. There is a cd player so bring some music. We love to cook and small shops and vendors are everywhere, as well as 2 big grocery stores that have everything you need. The only other suggestion I would have is if they could get some decent knives for those that like to cook. Overall, Casa Cervantes was a great vacation home for my family and I’d love to go back!
