We were on Roatan for two weeks during February. This was our second trip here and since we had used Roatan Life Rentals before with great success, we decided to rent from them again. They are great and were quick to deal with any issues we had. Our blender wasn't working...and I wanted Pina Coladas...they got us a new one immediately! And, we had a small family of ants who had decided they liked our kitchen (you have to remember you are in the jungle) and Roatan Life came over right away and took care of the problem.
This house is in a really nice location, with constant breezes that keep the bugs down, and easy access to West Beach. You really don't even need a car, though it was nice to have one.
The house itself is a little quirky (as is true with most properties on Roatan). It has a coded lock box on the door, so it took a little practice to be able to open the door with one hand but we managed. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we really needed, including a working dishwasher. The view from both decks is amazing and it's an easy walk down the path to the community pool...where we were able to socialize with other Turtle Crossing occupants and owners.
The only things I would suggest is it would be nice to have a king size bed in one of the bedrooms and the outdoor furniture could use a little upgrading (maybe just a coat of paint and some new seat pads). Oh...and the wicker couch set in the living room is really uncomfortable! But then, we really didn't spend much time inside watching TV anyway. Overall, this is a really good value for what you get...and we would definitely rent again.
