Recent Bay Islands Honduras Reviews

Wonderful, beautiful, relaxing, and super friendly

5 of 5
Okay, the obvious stuff first. The condo is just beautiful. A Mediterranean flare with porches, ocean views of both the East and West sides of the island. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. The condo was clean, very comfortable beds, There was just nothing about it that we didn't like. We have been to several of the Caribbean islands and stayed in several condos and this is as nice as it gets. Ginger and Larry were great and Peggy in Roatan was a great host and help. The other people staying there, some owners and some guests like us, were amazingly friendly and they all offered to help us if we needed anything or wanted recommendations on where to eat or what to do, we literally spent hours talking to them at the pool. Roatan itself didn't disappoint either. Great scuba diving, more friendly people, actually the snorkeling right in Keyhole Bay was better than anything else on the Island as far as I was concerned but I didn't dive at that spot. The food was good but on TripAdvisor everybody seemed to give every restaurant and burger joint a five star rating and I give very few five stars to restaurants unless they are truly exceptional. I would have handed out a lot of fours but no fives. Four of us stayed in the condo and it was just the right size by the way. We will be back.

Best Trip Ever

5 of 5
My family arrived during the rainy season. I don't care what anybody says this place is beautiful year round. With the open house layout, you open the windows and doors and enjoy the sea breeze. Having staff on property is a real treat. It gives the home a personal touch without the associated high costs. The snorkeling and kayak equipment were a lot of fun to use. Even tho its was Roatan's winter the temperature still reached in the 90 but the pool was a great escape from the heat. All in all the best trip ever.

Had a great time at a great place.

Turtle Casa was fine for our big group. Use their kayaks and snorkel right out to the reef with great structure. Saw octopus, permit, barracuda, lobster, lotsa fish. Paddle down to Anthony Key and free dive a plane right in the harbor or watch dolphin show there too..No complaints whatsoever about the house. The best part was charter Capt. Tim and mate Michelle right next door. We had a great time fishing and day tripping with them.Their boat RuthlessRoatan.com docks right in front of the house. Walk 2 blocks up the hill behind the house and catch a collectivo to west end to 30 lemps ($1.50).
