Villa was superb with just a few issues.

4 of 5
Illusion at Sugar Hill is a beautiful villa--with everything our party could want. We've stayed at many villas including one at Sugar Hill two years ago. That one was wonderful too but the layout, the pool, the common areas, the two gazebos, the view to the ocean made Illusion even better. The staff were all friendly and very service oriented--one of the main reasons we continue to return to Barbados. A couple of disappointments with the staff included the chef not being greatly experienced. He tried hard but we'd prefer someone with more confidence and a greater repetoire of meals. He also made a few cooking errors--undercooking the shrimp and chicken on the grill. He felt horrible about it and was very apologetic so we hate to be too harsh--but that's something that just shouldn't have happened. Also, there were communication errors between Luxury Retreats and the folks in Barbados that caused a few initial problems (no grocery list sent, transport from airport not sufficient)
