Fantastic View!

5 of 5
We stayed in this villa for 4 weeks in April, and we loved it. The view from the deck is fantastic. We saw sea turtles swimming in the ocean, and two or three times we saw stingrays swim by. The pool on the deck is great. The neighbourhood is nice and we went for walks several times and got some great pictures. You can see the ocean as you walk along the road. The owner was very helpful and drove us to the house when we arrived and then took us to a grocery store. He was always a phone call away and was very helpful. We had a rental car for the first two weeks that we were there, so we were able to go out and explore the island. It was a lot of fun. There is a beach that you can walk to, but it is not a beach that you can swim at. It's beautiful though. There is also a grocery store within walking distance - about a 10-15 minute walk. We all had a great time at this villa and we would like to go back some day. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Amazing and Perfect

5 of 5
Visited Barbados with my partner for10 days as visiting famly. Wanted to surprise him with a holiday rental and I can tell you we were not disappointed. This holiday rental is clean and tidy, the pool and back garden are beautiful lots of privacy, I must say the pictures do not do the place justice. Helena and Roman next door were very accommodating, very friendly and willing to take you about but we had a car for the first few days we were ok? but they both took us to see my family in St George as we were not sure of the way and waited and drove us back, nothing was too much. Bus stop just a few minutes walk away and shopping centre just five min drive down the road. Looking to go back to Barbados later on down in the year must say would stay here again if vacant. Booking the accommodation was straightforward, saw few days vacant when we would be on the island on line emailed got quick response and booked which was great as was flying out there two days later. Have reccomended to friends. Tthank you for your hospitality

Spectacular view

The Fitzgerald House is a very basic house in a wonderful location if you like solitude and aren't afraid of rough water. The house has everything that you would need except a dishwasher and is accurately portrayed in the pictures and description on the listing. We were their during a particularly rainy week and ran out of hot water because the water is solar heated. With that said, we loved our stay and the house was perfect for what we wanted. This side of the island is rugged and not the least bit touristy. We had a car which I think is a must given the location of the property. We spent time on the beautiful beaches of the old Sam Lordes Castle resort next door which is totally in ruins and deserted. We took walks along that beach every morning. By far the best beach in the area is Foul Bay. Truly not to be missed. Great swimming and hardly any people. Gabby the housekeeper is wonderful. Always checked on our needs and even drove my son to the airport on the last day because he had a much later flight than ours. All in all a great stay. I would go back for sure....just need a little less rain next time!
