                        Beautiful and peaceful oasis

                        5 of 5
If you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Barbados, this is it. We loved the comfort and spaciousness of this town house. The common areas are open and nicely decorated. The ceiling fans and natural breezes were enough for comfort on hot days. We enjoyed having separate air-conditioned bedrooms with baths for each of us. The fans in each room were usually enough for comfort upstairs as well. The patio area, with lovely views of palm trees, tropical flowers and the beautifully manicured grounds, is a wonderful shaded place to gather in the morning for coffee and catching up on e-mails from back home, or end the day with drinks and snacks and good conversations about our day. Sitting outside in the evening was our favorite way to end the day. It was always peaceful and calm with warm breezes and no mosquitos. Several evenings we even watched a family of green monkeys pass through the yard. The club house, exercise room and pools are only a short walk away and were always clean and uncrowded. Swimming under the stars at the end of a long day of sight seeing was heavenly. The millennium Complex is beautifully designed with lots of nicely landscaped open spaces, walk ways and roads with safety bumps to prevent speeding. It is gated with 24 hr security . A car is recommended since it is located outside of town and away from local bus services. We chose to use the taxi service to get around. Kenmore Lynch was our daily driver. He was friendly, polite and lots of fun. He is a safe driver, has a lot of knowledge of the island and it's culture, and is a reliable option as a tour guide. For three seniors, the cost was less than taking tour buses or renting a car, and we didn't have to do the driving. I would definitely recommend this lovely, safe, centrally located, complex for your Barbados vacation.

Easy, relaxed stay. Will return someday.

***** Excellent I chose this because my needs were very simple and I was on a budget. This place is exactly as described. In fact, it is even more pretty - the garden is breath taking. I can confirm that you have access to a beautiful beach that is not at all crowded. The lovely owner, Barbara, lives in the larger part of the house and you have your own keys to your separate studio to come and go as you please. It's a simple lodging with everything you need, plus beauty and relaxation. And wifi! They kept an eye out for me (single women who travel alone will get attention at the beach) which I feel was both kind and friendly since I was the stranger. Also, since I was travelling over Easter and grocers were closed - they made sure I was set for food. It's a very easy space to be in. You wake up early to the sounds of surf, birds in the garden, and an extremely friendly puppy (Barbados wakes up with the sunrise!) and you go to bed to sounds of surf and wind. When I arrived I was offered a cool drink while the studio was being spruced up. And they arranged for transport to & from a grocery on my first night so that I could pick up my own foodstuffs. There is instant coffee and tea already provided. I would take precautions for mosquitos - and you may find there is some repellent and anti-itch product available in the apartment. I got bitten while I slept, but, I didn't let this affect my mood in this beautiful environment. Thank you to Orissa at Rex Realty, And the Taxi Driver, David: When I landed in Barbados, the Airport ATM ("ABM" or "Cash-Point") swallowed my debit card and I was unable to access a bank - they close at 3pm. Rex Realty, who had arranged for my transport from the airport to Sunset Annex allowed me pay for the taxi later - through Rex Realty - since I had no cash on hand. Then next day I was able to procure a rental car of my own (highly recommend for exploring on your own - Insist on a GPS!) and sort out my finances. I should have brought traveller's cheques!
