Our family of 4 including 2 kids, 10 & 12, stayed at this great place for six nights and couldn't be happier. The condo itself is well appointed, clean, and modern. It's located on Dover Beach, and the view from the unit is fantastic. The location is great. It is at the end of St. Lawrence Gap so it's quiet, but within easy walking distance to restaurants and nightlife in the Gap. There is a grocery store for all your necessities less than a block away to the right as you exit the gate
We hung around the beach the first day, had lunch at the grill/bar next to the condo at Dover Beach Park, and had dinner nearby. On the 2nd day, we walked across the street to rent a car (Express Rent-a-Car) and explored the island. A rental GPS ($B10/day) is recommended. We drove to Browne's Beach, Crane Beach, Bathsheba, and even hung around local beaches at Brightons and Brandon. All the beaches I just mentioned are beautiful, and I would rate Dover Beach (right outsite the condo) the best. I think Crane Beach is overrated. Browne's Beach is expansive, beautiful, but didn't feel exclusive; you can see the boats and the Hilton.
We booked a 5 hour catamaran trip through Monica whom met us when we first arrived to introduce the condo basics. This 10am-3pm cruise is recommended for snorkeling to see a whole bunch of fishes and TURTLES. It made 2 stops for snorkeling, and 1 stop for a beach somewhere in the west coast. Lunch and drinks were included which we thought were very reasonable. By the way, for a family of 4 like ours, expect a minimum of U$50 per meal. Don't expect this minimum at Tapas or Pieces.
We had wonderful dinners at Tapas and Piesce. Both have water views, great services, and very good food. However; we did break down and had KFC (close to Tapas) one evening. For lunch, our most memorable was The Round House on the east coast. We sat high above the cliff looking down Bathsheba Park. This luncheon was a great change of scenery.
In conclusion, Jane gave us a great recommendation from all the lodging options that we had. She was on the spot for what we were looking for, and we appreaciated that. She keeps a list of things-to-do in the unit. We did just that, and had a wonderful vacation.
