We will definitely be back!

5 of 5
We have vacationed in Barbados before and stayed in a resort. We wanted a different experience this time around - we wanted to stay in a local community because it would really give us the true feeling of Barbados. When we found this house during our search we were immediately hooked! When I sent my enquiry to Helena and Roman they replied very quickly and we continued to communicate for several months before our trip. They answered all of our questions in great detail and Helena even called me from Barbados so we could chat so it would be easier for us to have all of our questions answered. Looking at the location of the house on a map you can tell that it is located inland. The house is actually situated amazingly well in relation to everything! It is just off of a main road so you never hear cars passing by. It's very close to the airport, malls, grocery shopping, restaurants, and the beaches! The house itself is awesome! The property is beautiful, very well maintained and clean! The house has everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Helena and Roman greeted us every morning with a huge smile and fresh fruit from their trees which we were free to take ourselves. It must also be said that we felt safe the entire time we were at the house. Sometimes safety is a point of contention for people who are debating whether or not to stay at a resort vs. a house. Bajans are so incredibly friendly and we always felt safe walking around the area and being outdoors. Helena worked with us regarding payment in a way that made us feel the most comfortable. In the future - even though it's not required - we would have no issue submitting payment in full prior to our arrival in Barbados. We had the most amazing time during our 3 weeks in Barbados - Helena and Roman and their house is a huge part of that! We will most definitely be using their house the next time we visit. Thank you SO much Helena and Roman for your hospitality and generosity! Stephanie and Dr. Matt :)

Spacious, clean house with perfect location!

5 of 5
We stayed at this beautiful house for 9 days and we fully enjoyed its perfect design, beautiful art and great location. The place is brand new, very clean with state of the art appliances (including huge dishwasher, excellent pots and pans, great gas stove with 5 burners and oven). The kitchen has an open plan so we enjoyed cooking while conversing with our loved ones. Originally an old Bajan house, this home has been recently renovated keeping the best of the old and adding a lot of functionality and tons of light. The big windows and doors make the space feel ginormous while the natural coral limestone used in the construction keeps the house always cool in spite of the heat outside. The living area opens into the veranda with large doors that allow a constant breeze and adding the magic of the veranda inside. The beautiful boardwalk by the sea is only a 8 minutes walk and it is a beautiful safe place to exercise s early as 5 am. The area is residential, but very close to a small mall (Lanterns) with a mini supermarket and pharmacy. Nearby there are other stores, restaurants of whole range of prices and supermarket. As if all this was not enough, JJ and Stephanie were very attentive to through email, FaceTime even sending their friends our way if necessary. We recommend to rent the car so you can also enjoy other parts of the island.

Just a very lovely and nice place

5 of 5
The Sea Grape House is lying at he end of a dead-end street in a nice residential area. its very tranqil there and just a few meters to the Long Beach. The house itself is very spacious and well equipped with a very large combined kitchen/dining/TV-area with a huge flatscreen and stereo. It is well maintained. Outside it has a green garden with a large patio and a gazebo with a nice oceanview. If you are in surfing its also perfect. There are always some kitesurfers at the beach and just some minutes walk away there are even more surfspots with surfingschools. Around there are many nice spots and beaches like silversands with a bar and restaurant where we had great rotis and especially the surfers bay bar: a cool relaxing place by the sea with livemusic on thursdays and Sundays where we met some very lovely people. We also liked Mojos for their yummy burgers and dont miss the Oistins fish fry on Fridays. Its an awesome mix of food, drinks, music and entertainment. When leaving the house to the Beach and hading to the left there are nice beaches one after another. A bit more far away we liked very much the Enterprise Beach and the Accra Beach. The bajan people are very friendly and helpful. The food was nice, especially the fresh fish we bought at the Oistins fishmarket an put it on the Barbecue was so delicious. Dont miss to get some bajan peppersauce! For two days we stayed just on the patio at the house, listening to some reggaemusic, mixing some nice drinks and went to the beach for some refreshing. That was just so relaxing. Finally i have to mention Ryan. He was very friendly, available and helpful. And even a good captain on our catamaran tour. Thank you Ryan! Hopefully we will have the opportunity to return to this lovely very special place.
