Great Property

5 of 5
We loved the Sea Turtle. Brighton Beach is a wonderful location, and we felt safe there at Sea Turtle. Shondell (the house keeper) was wonderful and did a very good job, and we also appreciated her and the company's flexibility with allowing us some privacy throughout our honeymoon. It's so nice to feel comfortable enough to feel "at home" while travelling, and the privacy was a big part of that. The property seemed to be in good shape, and we loved the colors and the turtle theme throughout the house. We did use the grill once, and that is a great addition, I think. Really, the home fit just what we waned: a place to relax, have privacy, cook our own meals, nice bedroom, etc. Oh yes, the "handbook" or whatever we call it (as I can't remember what was written on the front of it) was really helpful, also. Thanks.

Easy, relaxed stay. Will return someday.

***** Excellent I chose this because my needs were very simple and I was on a budget. This place is exactly as described. In fact, it is even more pretty - the garden is breath taking. I can confirm that you have access to a beautiful beach that is not at all crowded. The lovely owner, Barbara, lives in the larger part of the house and you have your own keys to your separate studio to come and go as you please. It's a simple lodging with everything you need, plus beauty and relaxation. And wifi! They kept an eye out for me (single women who travel alone will get attention at the beach) which I feel was both kind and friendly since I was the stranger. Also, since I was travelling over Easter and grocers were closed - they made sure I was set for food. It's a very easy space to be in. You wake up early to the sounds of surf, birds in the garden, and an extremely friendly puppy (Barbados wakes up with the sunrise!) and you go to bed to sounds of surf and wind. When I arrived I was offered a cool drink while the studio was being spruced up. And they arranged for transport to & from a grocery on my first night so that I could pick up my own foodstuffs. There is instant coffee and tea already provided. I would take precautions for mosquitos - and you may find there is some repellent and anti-itch product available in the apartment. I got bitten while I slept, but, I didn't let this affect my mood in this beautiful environment. Thank you to Orissa at Rex Realty, And the Taxi Driver, David: When I landed in Barbados, the Airport ATM ("ABM" or "Cash-Point") swallowed my debit card and I was unable to access a bank - they close at 3pm. Rex Realty, who had arranged for my transport from the airport to Sunset Annex allowed me pay for the taxi later - through Rex Realty - since I had no cash on hand. Then next day I was able to procure a rental car of my own (highly recommend for exploring on your own - Insist on a GPS!) and sort out my finances. I should have brought traveller's cheques!
