LUXURY WITH AN AWESOME VIEW

5 of 5
Hector the concierge arranged for my transportation to Hacienda Da La Cruz via private van. I called ahead to have beverages and snacks stocked for our group. Villa Serena is a gated community with paver block streets 3 miles from Cabo with a small grocery store very close and Wal Mart and Costco 5 min. away. When you walk into this house you are immediately blown away by the views. Travertine and granite throughout, 3 bars, huge kitchen equipped for a chef, huge laundry with iron and board, 60" HD TV with satellite from NY also TV in all bedrooms, beautiful pool and hot tub with views of El Arco, Private beach, safes in all bedrooms, Gas grill, and free calls to USA. This house is all one level for those who have disabilities. Hector went to the marina and purchased fresh tuna which we had the chef prepare. Best Tuna I ever ate period. We also had two women prepare us a traditional Oaxacan breakfast with chopolenas. The chef also prepared grilled shrimp served with pineapple and a NY strip steak. Whale watch right from the patio and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Classic Hacienda in a lovely community

5 of 5
Hacienda Costa Azul is a lovely home and the perfect spot of a Los Cabos vacation. I rented the home over the recent Thanksgivng holiday and could not have been more pleased. The home is located in a gated community in San Jose del Cabo and is surrounded by other beautiful homes. The home exceeds the pictures on the rental site we rented through. Every room of this amazing home is well appointed with style and comfort in mind. Every bedroom has its own private bathroom, which was ideal for our group (4 couples). Henry and his team were so attentive before, during and after our stay. I have so many favorite "spots" of the home - the well equipped kitchen, the spa-like master bedroom/bath, the charming courtyard entrance, and most of all, the pool with its ocean view. Honestly - the view from the pool looks like a painting. I should add that watching the sunrise from the master bed is a VERY close second. I am a frequent traveler to Mexico and can honestly say that Hacienda Costa Azul is my favorite property. I hope to stay again very soon.

How do I choose 6+ stars?

5 of 5
We are just back from 5 nights at this house and can't stop smiling! What a great vacation and fabulous way to celebrate my 50th birthday with 3 other couples. The spacious house is gorgeous and the amenities second to none. We were the first visitors after Hurricane Odile and were not sure what to expect, but the house appears to have been skipped altogether by the winds. Stefan and Martha are gems and were fantastic about sharing recommendations and information on events going on around La Paz, and setting us up with a tour to Espiritu Santo and a day at Tecolote Beach. Our favorite activity, though, was the day we decided to stick around the house, and ended up kayaking and swimming with whale sharks right in front of the house! We literally swam & paddled out to them, and hung around with them for a couple of hours. We had been talking about hiring someone to take us to see them, and laughed about how funny it would have been to go into town and pay someone to drop us off right in front of the very house we were staying in. Martha cooked dinner for us our first night, and we enjoyed the best mole EVER, along with another Puebla specialty that was new to us, Chiles en Nogada. Fabulous! The community where the house is located is new, clean, and quiet. We met a lot of the residents on the daily boat trips to/from downtown La Paz. Great people, local and expats alike. We also learned a new flight route from the homeowner, Humberto, when our flights to/from Cabo were canceled due to the hurricane -- we flew to San Diego and took a shuttle to the Tijuana airport for direct flights to La Paz on Mexico's Volaris Airline. I can't say enough about this house and our experience. We were all talking about when we might book another stay here, together or with our respective families. It was a perfect getaway.
