Villa Linda Mar

5 of 5
Our stay at Villa Linda Mar exceeded our expectations. Its a short 12 or 15 minute drive out side of Loreto down a gravel road. It's very peaceful and private and away from the noise of town. It suited us to a "T" . We were able to enjoy all kinds of wild life, from birds, reptiles, gecko's and of course all the sea life. We enjoyed having morning coffee and watching the dolphins swim past and we could see the whales spouting off in the distance. Had we stayed in town we would of missed all that beauty. Linda and Johannes are excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. They were very helpful in showing us how to get around town, best places to eat, hiking trails and arranging our fishing, whale watching and snorkeling trips. Linda was also great at letting us know of local events we may be interested in attending. The casita's were excellent and had all the comforts of home. Very clean and maintained. Hats off to the maid service who out did herself every time. Thanks again Linda and Johannes for making our vacation so enjoyable

Lovely to Look At

4 of 5
The house is lovely with a well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of bedding (yet no blankets) and is located only about 100 yds. from the beach, the paseo, and the lap pool. Due to the hurricane in the fall of 2014 the owners were not able to get to the residence prior to my stay and therefore we did not have a grill, or chairs around the table on the 2nd floor balcony, so we were unable to eat outside. The cable/satellite TV that was advertised had not yet been installed and the amenities that we were suppose to share with the hotel were no longer available without paying so sitting in a beach chair under a palapa was $20/day. The community was wonderful with great neighbors, several nice places to eat and classes to take. Make sure you check the community center for a calendar of events and check out Vive Loreto for tours you can take.
