Great time in La Paz

5 of 5
This was our 2nd trip to La Paz. The people are VERY friendly and it continues to be a great place to visit. Luba's condo was sooo nice...it is open and airy and the marble/granite and furniture made us feel at home. The complex is such a wonderful place being a short boat ride to the Malcon yet having the privacy and isolation of being a world away. We were traveling with a 18 mo old child and having a ground floor unit that steps right out to a nice grassed area was wonderful. From there its a few feet to the pool/grill, and from there its a few feet to 15 miles of private beach. Kitchen was well equipped and had other visitors left over goodies like spices and coffee. Next time we will bring our media player to hook up through one of the 3 tv's in the condo so we can watch movies (no tv service). The food at the pool bar made by Alex and his crew is the best in La Paz!

How do I choose 6+ stars?

5 of 5
We are just back from 5 nights at this house and can't stop smiling! What a great vacation and fabulous way to celebrate my 50th birthday with 3 other couples. The spacious house is gorgeous and the amenities second to none. We were the first visitors after Hurricane Odile and were not sure what to expect, but the house appears to have been skipped altogether by the winds. Stefan and Martha are gems and were fantastic about sharing recommendations and information on events going on around La Paz, and setting us up with a tour to Espiritu Santo and a day at Tecolote Beach. Our favorite activity, though, was the day we decided to stick around the house, and ended up kayaking and swimming with whale sharks right in front of the house! We literally swam & paddled out to them, and hung around with them for a couple of hours. We had been talking about hiring someone to take us to see them, and laughed about how funny it would have been to go into town and pay someone to drop us off right in front of the very house we were staying in. Martha cooked dinner for us our first night, and we enjoyed the best mole EVER, along with another Puebla specialty that was new to us, Chiles en Nogada. Fabulous! The community where the house is located is new, clean, and quiet. We met a lot of the residents on the daily boat trips to/from downtown La Paz. Great people, local and expats alike. We also learned a new flight route from the homeowner, Humberto, when our flights to/from Cabo were canceled due to the hurricane -- we flew to San Diego and took a shuttle to the Tijuana airport for direct flights to La Paz on Mexico's Volaris Airline. I can't say enough about this house and our experience. We were all talking about when we might book another stay here, together or with our respective families. It was a perfect getaway.

The Tennis Buddies Trip of May 2014

5 of 5
We stayed in La Paz with a group of 12 guys for a tennis and adventure trip. It was an exceptional time. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Every night we enjoyed an unparalleled sunset, magnificent views, walks on the beach and time in the pool. Some members of the group took the kayaks out to observe the fish and get some exercise. The tennis courts were very good and used every day. The golf course is world class with some very memorable holes and sand traps. We ate meals at the house and some in the excellent restaurants of La Paz. All in all, it was was one of the most memorable vacations I have ever had.
