I was looking for a getaway...and that's exactly what I got. It was very relaxing. The villa was very clean and comfortable. I didn't have a boat, but I could see where having the dock basically right outside the front door would be awesome. I didn't see a need for transportation, but if you want to get out to one of the other towns, you'll want wheels. The beaches are great, and the water is pretty shallow for quite a way. Even tho Hurricane Irene had just been thru the area a few weeks before I visited, there was very little indication of her visit...the villa property area was VERY well-kept and clean. It was neat watching all the curly-tailed lizards running around too! The villas are about a 2-3 minute walk from the main resort area where there's a small grocery store, cafe, restaurant, dive shop, and open air bar. Thursday nite is THE nite in this area...it's "Pizza Nite" and it's a huge event...you'll see everybody. Mike & Shawn were very helpful, as was the property management team....always checking to make sure things were good. The locals that I dealt with were very friendly as well.
