Complete relaxation!

4 of 5
My husband and i, and another couple, stayed at mermaid point for 8 wonderful days! The house had everything we needed to "cook in", (even a coffee grinder!), and was very spacious for 4 people. whether you are in the dining or living room, or on the deck, you have a great view of the caribbean! We enjoyed using the kayaks that were provided, loved being able to walk in 5 minutes to spectacular Ten Bay beach for swimming and shelling. We explored a few other beaches and areas of the island, but always LOVED the feeling of "coming home" when we returned to mermaid point. If we had any questions, diane and wayne were always available to answer them! We missed our dogs at home, so loved it when their dogs would come visiting. Diane and wayne play a significant part in rescuing homeless island dogs...And we are so thankful for the care, time, Love and energy they give to them. Though this island is not for everyone..we loved it and plan to return!! Sonya/steve ashton, warsaw, indiana

Perfect beach vacation!

5 of 5
My husband and I rented Amori House for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the perfect place to unwind! The house is quite secluded on a beautiful beach, Ten Bay. We spent most days at the beach and only traveled to the Atlantic side of the island once to visit Double Bay Beach. Ten Bay is a public beach but was not very busy, during the day there would be a few people on the beach but in the evenings we had the place to ourselves. Amori has everything you could want for your vacation, hammocks, snorkels, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Also the house has all of the modern amenities including A/C and a full kitchen. We went to a few restaurants but made most of our meals at the cottage. We went to Tippy's and Rainbow Inn, both were excellent. Great food and scenery. We also went to the Fish Fry in Governor's Harbour which was fun but touristy, food is just fair. I would definitely recommend Amori house to anyone looking for a private beachfront getaway, it will not disappoint!

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!

Don't even know where to begin...I cannot tell anyone how wonderful this location is and how gorgeous the water is! This was my second visit to Eleuthera and I must say, this last visit was much better due to my accomodations. We had EVERYTHING we needed at the house. Grilled out almost every night. We could view everything from the deck. We saw stingrays, turtles and nursesharks. I walked right down to the water and jumped in, snorkeled, got out of water for some sunbathing and then under the shade for a nice nap. Wake up and do it all over again. The caretaker, Rodney, was a wealth of information, very accomodating and super nice. Rented a car from him....very nice! I will definitely be back ASAP...love it, love it, love it!!! Also, the grocery market we found in Rock Sound was huge (compared to others) and the prices were much more reasonable than Burrows and others in Gov. Harb. Thank you, Carolyn!!!! Can't wait to get back...hopefully, this August :)
