Perfect Secluded Getaway!

5 of 5
My wife and I recently stayed a week at the Beach Cottage and found it a perfect getaway. Located on a quiet and secluded part of the island we still found accessing the markets and yacht club very easy on the cottage's two bicycles. The crystal clear water is literally steps out your front door and mooring a rented boat on the dock right next door (the owner's brother makes his dock available and he is also very friendly and helpful) makes this cottage a perfect launching point for daily adventures by boat. We were delighted with the cottage and would return at a moment's notice. If you are looking for a cozy getaway for two, this is as close to perfect as you can get!

Love Swept Away!

5 of 5
We had some challenges getting to Staniel Cay. Our flight was delayed out of Newark to Nassau due to plane maintenance issue and we missed our connection flight to Staniel Cay. We ended up spending a night in Nassau. Barry, thank you for going the extra mile helping us get to Staniel Cay! You checked in with us as we arrived, making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our vacation. Milly (housekeeper) is very sweet. She picked us up at the airport, showed us how to get around town and everything else we needed during our stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and letting us use your golf cart! We love the décor of the house. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and just admiring the beauty of the island. Your Swept Away home is the perfect location on the island. Very close to stores, restaurants and quiet beaches. We loved the beach closest to the Swept Away home. It’s always quiet there and made us feel like we have the whole island to ourselves. People on the island are very friendly. We enjoyed eating local foods and buying fresh homemade bread from Emil’s. The beaches here have the most pristine water we’ve ever seen. We loved visiting the pig beach. We will be back for sure to create new memories!

Magical Weekend

5 of 5
We stayed at Rum Punch for a weekend in March 2014 and loved it. The house is set up high so you have a beautiful view and can catch the island breeze whichever side it's coming from. It has all the modern conveniences you would expect, including fast Internet for the online junkies out there (one of the people in our group needed to make a conference call on the arrival day and it worked well). We brought our own food along and either cooked in the fully stocked kitchen or used the BBQ outside. It's a short walk to the closest beach, the airport and to the general store. About 12 or 15 minutes to the yacht club, depending which way you go, if you want to go for drinks or a meal. We hired a motorboat from the general store to see the swimming pigs and to Thunderball grotto, both were amazing! Then we putted around some other islands for the rest of the day and found deserted beaches to chill on. The caretakers, Mr and Mrs Rolle were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall a very relaxing time in a stunning environment, I would definitely recommend it
