Beautiful beach and house + friendly people = GREAT VACATION!!

5 of 5
This is our third trip to Spanish Wells. We love this place! We stayed at Sunnyside the first time, and just loved it. We tried to book Sunnyside for our second trip, but it was already booked. We were very sad, but we did get our beloved Sunnyside again for our third trip to Spanish Wells. Sunnyside is very spacious, has a great layout, and the most beautiful views. My favorite spot is the beach side porch where I could just curl up and read a book. The kids all used the jacuzzi, the bicycles, and ocean kayaks daily. They had a blast! Our friendly property manager, Brent (also known as Capt. Smiley) took us out for a great day of fishing. We had enough fish for several delicious meals! His brother, Capt. Scuba, took us on an Eleuthera excursion where we saw many different caves, blue holes, fruit farms, and other area landmarks. It was a fun day, and I would highly recommend Capt. Scuba's tour. (We rented a car on Eleuthera for a day, but didn't find any of these special places on our own.) We rented a boat from Brent / Capt. Smiley and had a great time exploring the area, finding new beaches, and snorkeling in beautiful clear waters. Lorraine had our rental golf carts ready for us at the house when we arrived. Spanish Wells is a beautiful little island, has all amenities, friendly locals, and is a place where safety isn't an issue. We look forward to making Spanish Wells a yearly family vacation.

Everything we hoped it would be =)

If you are trying to decide where to go to have the most Warm, Quiet, Relaxing, Beautiful and Enjoyable vacation you have ever had.....than look no further!! Our stay at the Coral Cove beach cottage was everything we were hoping for and than some. The house has everything you will need, although you will not be spending too much time indoors! The golf cart and kayaks provide a way for you to see and explore the island and all the picture perfect moments it has to offer. The island has the whitest sand and clearest water that we had ever seen. The people on the island are extremely friendly and helpful, and it was the little things like 'Papa Scoops' - a soft serve ice cream stand that you can pull up to in the golf cart which offers two new flavors each night, that made for the perfect way to end each sun-filled day. We are already planning our next trip back to Spanish Wells!! Thank You Tyson and April for providing such an amazing location.

GET READY TO LEAVE SOME OF YOUR HEART HERE!

5 of 5
My husband and I spent 2 weeks here in October and it was, hands down, the best vacation we have ever taken. The memories we made there, I will treasure always. Aunt Marjorie's cottage was very clean, very homey and you just melt into it. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and well taken care of. Roy and Linda were our hosts and you could not ask for any better. Linda even had dinner for us when we arrived and it was wonderful. We enjoyed eating at the Shipyard, Budda's, and the Gap. It is also worth a trip to Eleuthra to see Preachers cave and the beach there. We enjoyed the Peoples Church and the wonderful people who opened their arms and homes to us. How refreshing not to have to lock your doors. This island is a hidden gem and I fell in love with the beautiful people, the beautiful food, and beautiful scenery. Usually after a week on vacation, we're ready for our own beds- this one was different. The closer our departure date crept up on us, the dread set in.When it was time to go, I thought my husband was going to have to tie a rope around my waist to get me in that water taxi. When we did leave, unexpected emotions overcame me and I cried-as I said I left some of my heart there. Since returning home, I dreamed several times that we were still there. I cannot say the word Spanish Wells without a big ole smile on my face. And after I write this review I'm booking 2 more weeks in about 6 months! That says it all! A heartfelt thank you to Roy and Linda for all the hospitality and Ron and I cannot get back there soon enough. Dreaming of it til we get back-----Angie
