          Wow! What an amazing place!

          5 of 5
We had the privilege of staying at Laguna for two weeks. The views from almost every room in the house are breathtaking! The house is very nice and very well stocked. This was our third time to Eleuthera. With both of our other trips, there were quirky things about the houses where we stayed because it is a remote island. With Laguna, there were no sacrifices at all! Everything that one is accustomed to in the states, is there at the house. Maybe even better! The wifi worked great and helped keep my teenage kids happy. The air conditioning was fantastic. The master bath had a rain shower and now my husband wants one. He also wants Apple TV now because the house had it. :) There were beach towels and beach chairs that we used. The location on the island is very convenient because it was only about a 10 minute drive to Governor's Harbour, but you could also go south to Rock Sound or Lighthouse Beach. It was very close to Ten Bay beach, Double Bay Beach and Pau Pau Beach was even closer. My husband and I snorkeled right by the house and saw all sorts of fish, a HUGE snail and even a small octopus! So cool! I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay at Laguna. It is a great value and so far the only place that we have stayed that I would say we would definitely return and stay again. The owners, Kevin and his wife, were awesome to work with. It really felt like they were hosting us. Not that we were "renters". They felt very hospitable. I can't say enough good things about the house. Eleuthera is such an amazing place. Laguna made it all the more special. Can't wait to go back!

          Spectacular house, great location.

The house was as promised! Well appointed, comfortable, well equipped, clean and conveniently located. While it is private it is not 'isolated' as we had 4-5 visitors to the beach every day who accessed through an adjoining property. The amenities were as advertised and our chef, Kaynell Scavella, thought the kitchen had everything she needed. I would recommend her highly if you want a few tasty meals prepared and the cost is comparable to the expensive restaurants. The meals she prepared were the best we had in the whole ten days. The owners were very responsive when we had an issue with the TV, sending not one but two people to make the correction. They were also excellent to work with throughout the rental process as was Matthew Simon. Matthew is a great resource for all things Eleuthera. The kayaks were great for exploring the nearby islands and the snorkeling right at the house was as good as we needed. At low tide you can walk to the island from the point just down the beach. The gardner started fires for us 3-4 nights and carried wood over so we could start our own. Kingsley was helpful and responsive to our needs which were few indeed. If you are looking for a convenient location (4 miles from GH), a great house, wonderful beach and some evening fires beach side. This is it! The only possible suggestion we have would be to have a cooler available so when you go to the beaches on the Atlantic side you can pack a lunch. We ended up buying a cheapo styrofoam one but it did not last the whole trip! Some tips Burrows for groceries and adult beverages. Skip Tippy's but do eat at the Beach House, Banks Deli and Pammy's Go to Tarpum bay for fresh fish and buy a conch salad from the street vendor. Hangout at French Leave Beach Bring lots of bug juice Skip Lighthouse beach unless you have a 4 wheel drive Go to the GH fish fry but you have to stay late to see the locals perform Thanks to all who helped make my wife's 60th BD one she will remember.

Clean, big, perfect location on the caribbean

          5 of 5
My husband & I stayed here for 5 days, it was very clean, it has everything you might need to have a enjoyable vacation, and to top it off it's in a perfect location on the caribbean ocean side where you can see clearly to the bottom and enjoy the ocean just steps outside the door! The owner is very kind, and helpful, they can answer any questions you might have in regard to the island. You can get in a car, and drive South or North a little way's to see some additional beaches besides the one right out side your door (but you could stay there the entire time and love it all the same) or go all the way to the North or South end of the island from this vacation spot and be at either end in a short amount ot time. This Web page doesn't show all the reviews left by guest, but TRUST ME... In each of the 3 rooms they have guest books that are filled with A+ reviews, rating this place with a high "10"!!! There was NOT even one bad review in the entire book that was in the room we stayed "The Mermaid" at "The barefoot Beachouse". We didn't get to meet Sharon, but we did meet and talked to Skip while we were there, and he was a wonderful host! Just a couple tips, I suggest is to bring meat, vegetables, and anything else that you might like to eat while your there other then fish which you can get at Governor's Harbour dock daily around 3pm to 4pm. You can get some great tasting fresh fish and you can also get a lot of conch at a reasonable price compared going out to dinner at any of the restaurant's on the island. I'd also say bring any spices, BBQ sauce, butter, and other condiments you use while cooking...packages of tuna fish for lunches, and lunch meat I'd suggest as well. The grocery stores are very limited to what you can purchase once your there. The airlines do allow coolers, we went over with one as a carry on, with no problems at all. A bigger cooler may have to be checked in if it doesn't fit in the over-head area... but that's not a problem either. This vacation rental has kayaks, glass bottom canoe, a double Kayak, a little sail boat, rafts, noodles, masks & snorkels, lounge charis on the beach, pretty much everything you might want other then fins for snorkeling. Don't be fooled by some of the vacation rentals listed on differant web pages, this place is what it states and more... We saw a couple others that we were checking into before we found this place while we were there and they are NOT all what they advertise at all.
