GET READY TO LEAVE SOME OF YOUR HEART HERE!

5 of 5
My husband and I spent 2 weeks here in October and it was, hands down, the best vacation we have ever taken. The memories we made there, I will treasure always. Aunt Marjorie's cottage was very clean, very homey and you just melt into it. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and well taken care of. Roy and Linda were our hosts and you could not ask for any better. Linda even had dinner for us when we arrived and it was wonderful. We enjoyed eating at the Shipyard, Budda's, and the Gap. It is also worth a trip to Eleuthra to see Preachers cave and the beach there. We enjoyed the Peoples Church and the wonderful people who opened their arms and homes to us. How refreshing not to have to lock your doors. This island is a hidden gem and I fell in love with the beautiful people, the beautiful food, and beautiful scenery. Usually after a week on vacation, we're ready for our own beds- this one was different. The closer our departure date crept up on us, the dread set in.When it was time to go, I thought my husband was going to have to tie a rope around my waist to get me in that water taxi. When we did leave, unexpected emotions overcame me and I cried-as I said I left some of my heart there. Since returning home, I dreamed several times that we were still there. I cannot say the word Spanish Wells without a big ole smile on my face. And after I write this review I'm booking 2 more weeks in about 6 months! That says it all! A heartfelt thank you to Roy and Linda for all the hospitality and Ron and I cannot get back there soon enough. Dreaming of it til we get back-----Angie

stunning and secluded

5 of 5
The property was everything I thought it would be and more. The pictures don't do it justice, because its absolutely beautiful. The deck over looks the private beach, with turquoise water and white/ pink sand. The house it self is cozy and well furnished, it feels like home even though your on a private island. There are hammocks among the palm trees and lounge chairs on the deck for relaxing. You can prepare a meal.on the grill outside or cook in the fully stocked kitchen. The house is fully stocked with towels, sunscreen, soap, blankets and pillows, beach chairs, snorkel gear and anything else you could want on a beach vacation. I would recommend this property to anyone. Barbara the owner is very professional and helpful, as well as her staff, the maid, caretaker and gardener were always around or a phone call away if we needed anything. Very romantic, private, and relaxing. Da perk Café down the hill was a great place for drinks, and sandwich's also good breakfast. The locals are very friendly, if you get lost or want to find some good food, just ask them! You will not be disappointed!! Just remember bug spray. Thanks again Barbara!!

Excellent Place! Great view! Highly recommend!

8/19/14 thru 8/23/14 Despite a rough start of being sick prior to vacation and 1 to 2 days into it, my hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the Lookout Villa. We stayed at two places on the island-this place wasn't available for the full time we were there. We enjoyed ourselves much more at this place than at our 2nd place, which was 3 times the cost. The villa had everything we could want... and was extensively outfitted with all the amenities. It is clear to us that you want your guests to enjoy themselves and provide all that is needed. For us, it was all the little extra things that made the difference and the great contact we had with Angela. I would highly recommend staying here. We would go back in a heartbeat for all those reasons. Location is ideal! Rainbow beach is very close-we loved snorkeling there! We found it easy to get to other places from this location, which was beautiful and just as the pictures suggest. We found things like a whisk, bottled water, extra blankets ( I was sick) and everything else we needed. You would have thought we would have been happier at the other, more expensive place...which did have beautiful oceanfront views/our own beach, but did not have all the little extras that are at the Lookout villa. We were more than pleased. You will not find a better deal than this.. We used the kayak although liked snorkeling much more. We cooked in and had everything we needed. The place was clean/ comfortable and could fit 4 guests comfortably. Beds were comfy, a/c's cooled down quickly as we shut it off when not there. Saw hummingbirds/crabs/lizards/yellowish frogs with suction cupped legs-all on the property. water pressure was good. The only thing I could say that would make it absolutely perfect would be a little more comfy couches (we just sat on the blue futon instead)...but other than that, we appreciated the fact that Angela allows people to stay here at a price so reasonable...It's clear she enjoys having guests come to the island. The island is beautiful and you really do need a car if you want to experience all it has- so many beaches! The island is quiet, people are nice, location was perfect... We just can't say enough good things about it. Angela makes an extremely valuable host. Again, we would go back in a heartbeat and stay there. So peaceful, quiet and beautiful. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about this place-don't hesitate to rent it.
