Rayann’s was the best location that you could have. Seeing the sunrise with your morning coffee and the beautiful colours of the water and 3 sister rocks out in the ocean gave us a view that no other beach could offer – who could ask for anything more!! We visited Great Exuma first week of August and it was amazing. First, Isadora and Mildred were great. They informed us that upon our arrival stores would be closed and that they would also be closed the following day as it was a holiday. I asked Isadora if should pick up some groceries for us and she did not hesitate to help. She even did a little extra by providing some fruit and homemade bread. We can’t stress enough how very friendly and accommodating Isadora and Mildred were. If you are looking for a holiday where there is no hustle and bustle, Exuma is the place. A car is definitely required and we had no problems. We rented our car through Sure to Shore (Janese was very friendly and very accommodating). Our car was waiting for us at the airport and the drive to Rayann’s was less than 10 minutes. There is one main road and very few roundabouts so driving was no issue. We also rented a boat that we highly recommend. Minns Sports is the place to go and we booked well in advance. Driving was very easy, my husband and sons had a great time driving. Chat N’ Chill is a place to go for lunch and rest while you’re driving along in the boat. There are some beautiful little spots and beaches to explore. If diving is your thing there are many caves that can be explored. My husband and sons were only able to snorkel around them. If caves and snorkelling are your thing, Thundeball Grotto is definitely a trip that must be done. We booked our excursion through Four C’s and they were great. The excursion is a whole day but worth it. Also included was swimming with the pigs, feeding iguanas and nursing sharks. We stopped for lunch at Staniel Cay. We did some day trips with the car – we hit Jolly Beach, nice calm beach, Tropic of Cancer Beach was difficult to find but doable if you are courageous enough to drive your car up a hill with huge boulders. Not us but we did find a beautiful beach nearby – it was breathtaking. Our last day we drove to Emerald Bay, another beautiful beach. We did some fine dining at Augusta Bay and Grand Isle Resort, very nice and food was exceptional. Overall a great vacation and would highly recommend Exuma and staying at Rayann’s.
