We spent a lovely week at Rayannes place. The owners are wonderful local residents very involved in the island community. If everyone on the island doesn't know them, they at least know of them They have a great reputation that they've certainly earned and deserve. When renting, it is nice to know you will be taken care of by considerate and caring hosts who were easily reached if needed. But the rental was in such nice shape we didn't really need them :). The kitchen was very functional with everything you need to prepare meals with high end appliances. We usually did eggs and toast and coffee in the morning, sometimes packed a to go lunch and generally dined out in the evenings. The kitchen was more than enough for this purpose. It was nice to have laundry and the half bath downstairs, and the 2 full baths upstairs. And it doesn't go unnoticed when they had 2 dedicated zoned hvac systems, with 2 thermostats, 1 for the downstairs and 1 for the upstairs. This made it really nice to be comfortable in each floor which is not easy to accomplish in the tropics.
Then you open the double french doors to what can only be described as one of the best and most breathtaking views we've ever had in the Caribbean (this was our 23rd trip to the Caribbean). Having the 3 sisters rock formations just off the back porch is a wonderful bonus. The back porch has multiple recliners, a picnic table with umbrella and an outdoor shower so you dont have to track in sand. The table/shower are shared w/ the 2nd unit. They really did think of nearly every little detail to create a wonderful stay. The upstairs master bedroom has the balcony overlooking those amazing blue waters, such a great retreat for morning coffee or evening relaxation.
We appreciated the little details that added up to such a pleasant stay. We also really liked the location on the island. A short drive to the airport. And close enough to town to take a leisurely drive in for dinner, the dive exuma shop, or the ferry. If you need some supplies and dont want to go all the way to town (15 minutes), then there are a few little stores 150 yards down with all the necessities. And the other direction from town there is some great exploring with secluded beaches (sand dollar flats etc), and the ladies were kind enough to detail exactly which dirt road to turn down to find these places. Again, details that made the stay wonderful. So get in that rental car and enjoy the adventures. We
