This is truly a wonderful vacation rental if you're looking to visit Exuma. The house is clean, well kept and well equipped. The house is perhaps 100yds off of Tropic of Cancer beach, which really does live up to the hype as far as beaches go. You have very good views of the water from the first and second floors of the house. I really can't imagine why anyone would stay in one of the resorts after visiting this house. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and will certainly deal with any issues that you might have very quickly, though I can't imagine having any issues.
The island is not very large, so there are no worries about being 'too far' from anything; you can drive clear to the northern end of Exuma in an hour and a half or less. George Town really is the only 'town' of any significance on the island, but you can find pretty much whatever you might need there and it is maybe 20 minutes or so up the road. There is only one road of any import on the island, so you don't have to worry much about getting lost. That said, I would err on the side of a vehicle rental more like a Jeep or Rav 4; some of the roads are a little rough and there is sometimes minor flooding after rainfall.
But back to the house. Quite honestly, it sets the standard for beach rentals as far as I've seen thus far. You are isolated, but not too far from "civilization". There are definitely people around (other homeowners, etc), but you probably won't see much of them. If we saw 15 people on the beach the week we were there, it was a lot. I can honestly say that within the next few months I'll probably be looking at planning another trip to islands, and this rental will be my first choice. I'll probably have to plan my vacation around the availability of the house...that should say more than anything else above.
