Wonderful, Beautiful, Memorable Family Vacation

5 of 5
Our family had the best vacation ever in the Exumas. Villa # 37 at Hideaways Palm Bay was perfect for us. The upstairs living space was open and inviting. The kitchen was spacious and had what we needed for cooking family meals. The picnic cooler and roll-up beach mats were put to good use. We rented boats from Minns, which we docked right in front of the main area of the Palm Bay property…so convenient. Sea turtles, sting rays, beautiful fish, nurse sharks, swimming pigs, Thunderball Grotto, the huge sandbar…all made wonderful memories for us. The weather was perfect. On Easter Sunday we had a family sunrise service on the beach. The moon was full. We relaxed and enjoyed the Chat N Chill atmosphere on Sunday afternoon. All of it was great! Gorgeous – Perfect – Relaxing – Just Wonderful! Sandi couldn’t have been any more kind or helpful. It’s easy to see why they have so many 5 star reviews. Our family would happily return if we ever have the opportunity. THANK YOU!!! One note - our traveling companions who booked 2 villas through other sites had to move mid-stay because of other bookings. That wasn't convenient but had nothing to do with homeaways or Sandi Sullivan. #37 was great and Sandi was excellent!

Oceanfront home .... Home away from home..

4 of 5
If you are looking for great views, direct access to the ocean at your doorstep and close proximity to downtown Nassau then this place is for you. We had a great stay at this villa for 2 weeks and had a very relaxing time. All the essentials are available at the home in terms of kitchen, bathroom and bedroom so all you need to do is ship for a few groceries and you are pretty much set. We loved the rare time the dolphins made an appearance and watched them right from the doing room as we had breakfast. We spotted sting rays, an eel, sea slugs and various other marine life just steps from the home. For those looking for a coral reef and beautiful fish ... It was a mere 100m from the house... We didn't have to leave the house to see so much sea life but we do recommend a car. We had a lovely time and look forward to a future stay. Greg and Mark were always available to answer questions or help out with restaurant recommendations which made this a very enjoyable stay.

Relaxing with kids in Cape Eleuthera!

5 of 5
Eleuthera Island is a jewel! We travelled with two adults and two girls 7/10. We took a short 20 minute flight from Nassau to Governors Harbor and then rented a vehicle from Tracy Williams who made it effortless by meeting us right at the gate. When we checked in at the Cape Eleuthera it was smooth and they even had someone drive to the condo with us to make sure we found it. The island is whatever you want it to be from the most amazing beaches, friendly locals, from touristy in the north or quiet in the south. Sunset and Sunrise beach at the Cape is great some of the best sunsets I have ever seen, and very relaxing, with snorkeling and swimming an easy walk from the condo. The condo has everything you need and more, we cooked most nights in the condo. The marina also has a restaurant which was great to use when we were not in the mood to cook and or running low in groceries! The condo itself is very comfortable - great beds, great views, and lots of space for a family. We travelled to every corner of the island and Light House beach was our favorite with ten bay beach a close second where the girls could walk out forever. Would recommend a vehicle as there are so many beaches to check out and Rock sound has a great grocery/liquor store, which is about 25 minute drive. It was great driving the variety of dirt roads and then ending up at crystal blue waters, white or pink sands at the end of a drive. My goal was to see 5 different beaches and we ended up checking out 7 amazing beaches. Julianna and Tara were very helpful when we were researching where to stay. They went above and beyond and everything they recommended was perfect. They even checked in with us half way through our vacation, they also have contacts for all types of rentals. If you like a quiet place to relax or a different adventure every day Eleuthera Island is for you. Craig and Amanda.
