Spectacular Christmas Vacation

5 of 5
My family selected this property for a week stay over the Christmas holiday. We had a wonderful time! The property was very clean, and there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (parents and three adult kids). We rented a car from Barbara for the week, which made it easy to drive to dinners out, to the fish market for fresh fish to grill on the patio, and to downtown to walk around for a day. We did use the car just about every day, even if it was just a quick trip to the liquor store or grocery for a few items. Some of our highlights were a lovely dinner at Mahogany House, a great stand-up paddleboard lesson from PappaSurf, a visit to the fish market that made for some amazing dinners, a day trip to the Exumas, and spending time at the on-property beach area. It was a perfect getaway for us - nice and quiet, and away from all the touristy aspects of downtown and Paradise Island. Paula was incredibly responsive with questions when we were looking at the property, and Barbara was very helpful with airport pick up/drop off, getting us extra bottled water and a new tank of propane for the grill when it ran out on us. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family if they're considering a stay in the Bahamas

A Hidden Gem in Paradise

5 of 5
This oceanfront villa was the perfect home away from home on what has to be one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The villa was large, spacious, well-maintained and very clean. It had everything we needed for our week away. The resort pool was great - there were lots of floats and pool/beach toys for our son to use - and it was never crowded. The beach right outside the villa was wonderful but it's worth the 2-3 minute walk to Jolly Hall beach for the beautiful white sand and even more vibrantly turquoise water. The villa location is perfect. Right at the beach, close enough to walk into town, far enough from the music at nearby restaurants (but close enough to eat at the restaurants), and right across the street from a car rental. We didn't snorkel, but we used the kayaks provided by the villa owner daily and saw sand dollars, huge red starfish and lots of fish. We rented a car one day and explored Rolle Town, Little Exuma and the elusive-to-find but oh-so-stunning Tropic of Cancer beach. We also rented a boat in George Town and spent a day exploring the bay and Stocking Island. The villa owner was fantastic with communication, including the response time during the booking process, giving us lots of information on local attractions and checking in with us after we returned home. Thanks for providing us with a wonderful place for our best family vacation ever - we can't wait to come back.

Description says it all! Amazing views!

5 of 5
We are a family of 4 - with 2 young adult children. We needed a 3 bedrooms. Agree that this townhouse is exactly as described and pictured! We have rented condos in the past. This was the best experience we have had. Milly (the owner) answered all of my questions quickly and was always accessible. The condo location was perfect and being right on the water was quite a treat. The weather didn't cooperate for snorkeling unfortunately, but one of the 2 pools has a nice sheltered area to catch the sun out of the wind. Supplying beach towels was greatly appreciated and there were even games (we played scrabble one night) and a Fodor's Bahamas book which was very thoughtful. We also rented a car from Barbara and I would recommend doing that too. She was wonderful and very helpful. Although the traffic in downtown Nassau can be crazy and combined with driving on the left..sometimes a bit scary. But if you want to go to Paradise Island or even just the grocery store it is really helps to have your own car. Along that line, bring as much non-perishable food as you can. The prices on the island for groceries are about 30-90% higher than at home depending on the item. I don't recommend the Poop Deck. We ate there the first night. The food is expensive and not of high quality. It was our most expensive meal. We finally found the fish fry places on Arawak Cay on our last night and ate at Casa del Mar. Great food and good prices. Get the grouper! We went to Atlantis one day and had a blast and on another day we went to Blue Island for the dolphins and sea lions. The other days we just hung out and enjoyed the views and local area. To sum up, I would highly recommend staying here!
