Our families had an amazing time at baha beach villa. We stayed for 5 days and each day was a wonderful experience.
-From the moment we arrived we were impressed by how beautiful yet comfortable the house was. We had a group of 20 people, (including many little ones) and there was always plenty of seating and room for everyone to move about. The kitchen was large and easy to cook in, which made meal time easier. There were also 2 dishwashers which made clean up easier.
-Both Samantha and Tenecia (property manager) were friendly and helpful. Samantha quickly answered my zillion questions leading up to our arrival (she even went so far as to find out which store I could buy a beach volleyball set at and the cost). Once we were in the bahamas, Tenecia was readily available for questions or to handle any minor snafus we had.
-the view from the house is amazing. The house is on goodmans bay which has very calm waters. The bay was great for swimming and had a very slow drop off, which was great for all the little kids in our family.
-while we were there, the AC in the guest cottage did not work. Tenecia did promptly call the repair guy but he said he would not be able to fix it while we were there. I noted a couple of other reviews had commented about the AC not working in the guest house which makes me wonder if it was ever truly fixed. Without the AC it was very hot and stuffy in the guest house and my sister and the baby were unable to sleep in there which made sleeping arrangements a bit more stressful.
-the blender in the kitchen would not chop ice so you couldn't make frozen drinks
-The beach was beautiful but you do get a little bit of garbage that washes up everyday (we even found the occasional bit of broken glass). I would assume this is just a fact of life in a populated area like Nassau.
-front of house says sandpiper not baha beach villa (confusing at arrival)
-the house has a water cooler and they supply you with several 5gallon water bottles. They even have the ice maker hooked up to one of the 5gallon water bottles so there is plenty of safe water and ice.
-the master bedroom is beautiful but because of its location, the master bedroom and downstairs bunk room can be noisy
-there is a small playground about a 15 minute walk down the beach
-the bus does stop right in front of the house. However, if u really want to get out and explore the island, you will need a car
