Beautiful Beachfront Home for a Relaxing Vacation!

5 of 5
Our family of 5 booked a last minute vacation at the beginning of the new year and this house on the beach was perfect. Everything was new, fresh and spotless. The 3 beds/3 baths were lovely and the kitchen was beautiful and had everything necessary for cooking. We used the grill several times throughout the week. The gazebo and porch were great for reading and looking out at the pristine turquoise waters breaking onto the beach. Saw two dolphins jumping in the waves our first morning there. Spent time swimming and taking long walks on the beach. Took the kayaks and our snorkeling gear one day out to the island and enjoyed the beautiful fish and coral under the water. Favorite places to eat: Santana's, Mom's Bakery, Driftwood, Catch a Fire, Chat n Chills. Other places to enjoy were Cocoa Plum Beach (lots of sand dollars), Jolly Hill Beach (very picturesque), Tropic of Cancer Beach (Little Exuma), Stocking Island via Elvis' Taxi. Highlight of our week was a day trip with 4C's and fed iguanas, swam with nurse sharks and swimming pigs! Also snorkeling at Thunderball Grotto was amazing! Thank you Wendy and Frank for your hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely perfect home in Paradise!

5 of 5
Just returned from our second trip to Slack Tide and Guana Cay. What an amazing place! The home is absolutely beautiful, from its decor to its layout - so comfortable and inviting - a wonderful retreat. We relaxed and played in the pool, lounged and enjoyed the beautiful ocean views on the patio, and fished, swam or snorkeled off the dock every day/evening. Our 4 kids were in heaven and never wanted to leave! The house is wonderfully equipped, and if we had any questions or needed anything at all -Melanie took care of us right away. just a quick golf cart ride down the road is the stunning beach in Orchid Bay with amazing reefs for snorkeling. We rented a boat for exploring nearby islands and finding 'hidden beaches' - perfect! We love the island and the friendly community of people who live there. We will definitely be back, its a very special place!

The stunning Exumas!

5 of 5
We have traveled all over, but this was our first trip to the Bahamas - the Exumas are infectious and Villa 30 was the perfect home base! Kathy was a perfect host. She gave us so many great tips for our itinerary and who to contact for anything you could need on the island. The villa was as advertised and fully equipped with all things needed to cook, bake, and head to the beach. Palm Bay and Splash were fun places to meet and play with other visitors and locals alike, as well as borrow kayaks, sand toys, and SUPs. We could easily get into town by walking or taking the shuttle from Palm Bay, even for groceries. Renting a car for at least one day is a good way to explore Great and Little Exuma. You can't miss Jolly Hall beach, Thunderball Grotto, or Stocking Island. The possibilities are really endless! We were a little disappointed that the Exumas were not into more eco-friendly practices, such as recycling, composting, renewable energy, picking up litter alongside the roads etc., but the islands sink into your soul and leave a permanent longing to be there forever! Or at least again and again and again!
