PARADISE!

5 of 5
I had researched many homes and condos in Nassau, but from the moment I walked thru the doors of Paula's condo, I knew I had made the right decision. It was clean, beautifully furnished, travertine floors inside and out, equipped with everything you could possibly need. And that view! There is nothing like the waters of the Bahamas. We usually had the beach to ourselves except for one day when they were celebrating their Independence day and it was a little more crowded. The Poop Deck is conveniently located at the beach so drinks and lunch were accessible. We also had dinner there one night...expensive...but who cares, you're on vacation! We spent one day at Blue Lagoon Island swimming with dolphins and enjoying their beach, which was also pretty exquisite. But for the most part, our days were spent close to home because we loved the pool and beach. Our last night we went to the Fish Fry which everyone had been recommending and found that it was packed with locals... always a good sign that the food is good. Barbara, the property manager was great. She had referred her friend , Ingrid and Joe to drive us around when needed. The Bahamian people are the happiest and nicest people I have ever encountered. They go out of their way to help and accommodate you, even when there is nothing in it for them. Thank you Paula, for sharing your little slice of Paradise with us. I can't wait to return. Alina

GREAT NASSAU CONDO AND LOCATION

5 of 5
Great location - half way between airport and Paradise Island right off the main boulevard W Bay Street that is easy to drive on (British style). Both patios face West so sunsets are a treat. Queen bedroom patio on 2nd floor will thrill the inhabitant. Gourmet kitchen with most of what you need to cook a nice meal. A grocery story within walking distance to the East. From West pool can see 180 degrees and can carefully hike down the volcanic rock and snorkel. From East pool can see the beautiful beach, the new Baha Mar being built (in the distance) and Atlantis (farther distance). Caretaker Barbara was wonderful and has a nice car to rent. We loved our stay and will return.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

5 of 5
Having stayed at a local all-inclusive resort on a previous trip, I knew that was not the kind of experience I wanted on this occasion. We were three generations coming together from across Canada and we were looking for a more cozy, family friendly setting. From the moment we landed. our experience in Nassau was amazing! We were greeted at the airport by the Property Manager, Sherry who immediately took us under her wing! My son-in-law, who had been elected as our driver for the week, was understandably anxious about his first experience driving on the "wrong side" of the road, but Sherry was wonderful. She suggested that we initially go to the grocery store so that we had that out of the way. She coached Dave briefly on what he should expect and had him follow her. It was the perfect way to ease him in. The townhouse was exactly as all the previous reviewers have described. When I say that this was our home away from home, I mean to suggest that we immediately felt at home here. None of us actually lives in a home like this! We could not have asked for a more perfect arrangement for our family! Sherry continued to assist us throughout our visit with our questions and any arrangements that we wished to make. How lucky the owners are to have such wonderful people manage their property! We had excursions of some sort most days but really enjoyed our down time "at home": barbecuing on the patio, playing cards on the large dining room table or spending some memorable family moments up at the clubhouse playing pool. For the most part, we found that buying groceries was more expensive than eating out...at the right places! The Fish Fry, Bahama Grill and Checkers provided such large servings that we were able to have leftovers at home. My elderly father and I managed well using the number 10 bus the day the kids were at Atlantis. While I doubt that our experience was the norm, our bus driver drove us right up to the gates of Balmoral. This island and this property are a breath of fresh air! I will be back!
