Perfection

5 of 5
We've visited over 60 islands in 3 oceans over the last five years, and Eleuthera is hands-down the best "Beach Island" we've found. If you're looking for turquoise waters and light sand for miles, this is the right island for you. As for the property itself, it is simply perfect. The setting is like a personal resort, with lovely grounds and a thoughtfully designed pool area. The decks are addictive, with breezes galore. The furnishings are high-quality, and the kitchen appliances/equipment are top-notch. The owners did not cut any corners on this place; it's obvious from the first moment to the last. We hated to leave, and we're already looking forward to returning.

Paradise for two

5 of 5
We just left Villa Sylphide after a glorious 12 days. The house is perfect for 2, we loved the location , and really appreciated the homeliness of the Villa. I know there are lots of things to do or if you want you can do very little as was our case. We only ate out 2 times, 3J's and 1648, loved both of them . We basically picked a direction on the beach and off we went, long walks, tons of sea glass a neat little shells. Brian has a great place here and if you need a 1 bedroom I would be hard pressed to think you could do better. Relax , enjoy the moment and go to the Villa you won't regret it.

Fantastic house in a truly amazing setting

5 of 5
Our family of six, 2 adults and 4 children ages 13, 11, and two 8 year olds spent a wonderful week at Jolly Mon in April 2015. This was our second visit to Eleuthera. The house was really special -- the setting is perfect, the house is literally perched on top of a great beach with amazing views all around. Jolly Mon is built to a very high-standard and is extremely comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped, lots of storage space for luggage etc.. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We went in April and were able to have the doors and windows open all day and night - it was very relaxing and we slept extremely well, waking to the sound of the ocean waves and the breeze blowing through the palm trees. With four kids, the fact that we could just walk down 40 steps to the beach and swim at different intervals in the day was a great advantage - no getting four kids into the car with snorkeling gear, towels, etc! Of course the kids loved the outdoor showers! The kayaks really added to our enjoyment on the beach and there is nice snorkeling on the adjacent reefs. We hardly met anyone on the beach while we were there. We did a couple of excursions with Fishbone Tours which I would highly recommend -- Julius and Robin went out of their way to show us a good time. The children loved the tour as well as the fishing. We had two good dinners at Tippy's and got pizza from Mate & Jenny's. We loved French Leave beach and had a good lunch at the Beach House restaurant. I took Jane's advice and brought a cooler of meats in my luggage which was great to have for the nights at home. We also grilled fresh fish caught on our fishing on the grill. The property is extremely well organized, clean and well maintained. Thanks so much to the caretaker Del for checking in us regularly and to the woman who came to clean the house not eh last day. Both were so polite and helpful to us, very welcoming. Thanks also to Jane for providing lots of great information before we travelled and for her flexibility. We hoe to return to Jolly Mon one day....
