Best Vacation Ever.

My husband and I ventured to stay at Villa Sylphide to celebrate his graduation and our anniversary. We knew it was going to be nice since it is our neighbor's vacation house and he has excellent taste but we had no idea of its beauty until we got there. Between the high-end kitchen, beautifully decorated rooms, great wraparound porch, backyard wildlife and private beach, this place is special, it really has it all. We did a couple day trips to some cool beaches but really spent most of our time on our beach. Just lying on the beach was enough but to break it up we did venture into the ocean. We found a great snorkeling spot to the right, about a quarter mile down the beach, it has all of the underwater life one could ask for in a shallow protective cove, we highly recommend this spot. Also, the restaurants were great (although we had fun cooking in), people are wonderful, location is perfect. 2 suggestions, rent a SUV if you plan on doing some exploring and bring your water shoes, they were great to have. Overall 10 out of 10. We can’t wait to go back!

AMAZING VACATION RENTAL!!!!!

4 of 5
The property and home were fantastic. Eleuthera is an amazing island with so many beautiful beaches to explore and having Ocean Palm as a home base was fabulous. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. From the bread, eggs, milk, rum and water that was there upon arrival there was also a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils and cook ware that anyone would need. They also had lots of beach stuff including chairs and snorkels and masks and there was great snorkeling right off the beach. The beach was lovely and we only saw one or two other people everyday so there was allot of privacy. The "Elusive Beaches of Eleuthera" book was there for us to use and was essential for all the exploring we did. We had the most amazing vacation and loved every moment. We will be back next year.

Fantastic!

I was looking to escape the frigid NY winter and came across the Island Breeze listing while searching for a place that offered true relaxation. I booked it last minute, and Katy was extremely accommodating. I had a short stay in February, and I’m counting down the days until I get to go back. I have no words to express what an amazing time I had on the island. The pictures truly don’t do the place justice. I know I should review it in detail to give you a better sense of what to expect, but I want you to be surprised as I was. From the scenic drive from the airport, to the moment you step foot in the cottage. It was unbelievable. The cottage is located in a lovely part of the island, spacious, clean, charmingly decorated, and with a breathtaking view. Nothing beats waking up to the sound of the ocean, and stepping out on to the balcony to drink your coffee. The place is stocked with all the essentials; they even provided me with a local cellphone, and contrary to other reviews, I had no issue with the wifi. Nighttime was one of my favorite times during my stay. After a long day of swimming and exploring eleuthera, I’d cook and spent the evening out on the balcony or the deck watching the stars and listening to music. This place is a hidden gem, and I can’t wait to go back. I wish had stayed longer considering the 80-degree difference in weather I had to come back to! Look no further, you won’t be disappointed
