Fabulous Seaside house

5 of 5
Ragged Edge is truly a magnificent vacation home. It is beautiful and roomy, accommodating 7 adults with ease. The master suite is massive and all of the beds are comfortable. It has a well stocked kitchen including a margarita machine, a heavy duty front loading washer and dryer, a great selection of movies, games and books, snorkeling equipment, and a raft. The back deck is wonderful with absolutely stunning vistas and with gorgeous sunrises. We spent part of every day walking off the back deck and dropping into the crystal clear waters. The snorkeling was terrific with an abundance of brilliantly colored fish around several coral reefs. We had no problems with undertow or difficult currents. We were glad that we did not rent a car as the traffic was terrible closer to town and the opposite side of the road configuration was very disorienting. Joe picked us up from the airport and drove us to the grocery store, where we stocked up for the week, then he drove us to the house. He was wonderful. For the first few days, we called Joe and he had someone come get us and take us wherever we needed to go. He just needed 30 minutes heads up. Then later, we called and were picked up and taken home. One day, we could not get ahold of Joe for reasons unclear. Maybe his phone went out. So we called Cheryl's taxi service. Cheryl and her crew were equally great, prompt and professional. We used the car services every day and the total cost for the week was almost the same as if we had rented a 7 person vehicle. And the stress level was much less. We went to Atlantis one day and it was great. We went to Sandy toes and had a lot of fun. The snorkeling at Sandy Toes was great but not much better than behind the house. We went to the pirate museum, one of the forts, cabbage beach and shopped around town. All of it was very enjoyable. We were always anxious to get back to the house every afternoon to enjoy the snorkeling and relaxing on the deck. We ate at the house every morning for breakfast and dinner every night. We are very active but in my opinion the closest grocery is not really within walking distance, esp with bags. But it is no big deal because our driver would run us by at the end of the day and we would get whatever we needed. The grocery stores are very nice with the same brands as we get at home in the U.S. Thank you Chad and Candace for sharing your beautiful and incredibly affordable home with us. It was an epic vacation that will be long remembered
