AWESOME HOME!

5 of 5
Right from the beginning we knew we had chosen the right home to spend my 50th birthday week with my family. We had requested early check in as we cam in on the red-eye from Seattle. This request was accommodated & the island staff were fantastic in greeting us early, showing us all of the things we needed to know about the home. Let me be very clear - this is the owners residence, not just a vacation rental property and it shows in the location, quality of furnishings, appliances, AV equipment, toys, etc. We felt right at home. We used the outdoor kitchen and margarita maker extensively :). I would highly recommend Ragged Edge to anyone that is interested - this is the standard we will measure future vacation home rentals against.. I would suggest a couple of things that made live easier for us and or we would have liked to have. First - if you are comfortable driving on the left (its not hard) definitely rent a vehicle, it is worth the money. We had 6 people and rented a mini van. The home is at the eastern end of the island away from the tourist areas (great thing) & about a 10-15 min drive to the PI bridge. In hindsight, we would have hired a cook for a couple of dinners and maid service. My wife & I cooked most meals & she did laundry. The home is literally on the waters edge & we spent several days at Cabbage Beach which the whole family fell in love with. The beach several houses down is great. However it can be difficult at high tide so plan accordingly. I have been going to the Bahamas for over 25 years. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had anywhere in the world and we were fortunate to spend it in a great home.

AMAZING

Perfect escape from winter weather! Tranquility Nassau is exactly as described. It is in a well secured and safe location, a short distance from everything, but feels like you are miles from anything and everyone. We chose to have a car for the week we were there, and while not a complete necessity, I think it was worth the convenience. Made trips to restaurants, the grocery store, liquor store, and Saunders Beach (don't miss it!) hassle free. We never rode a jitney, but we saw them everywhere, so that is clearly an option. The property's location is worth the rental fee. Located directly on the ocean, with an expansive patio overlooking the water, you could spend your entire time just enjoying the view from the patio. But don't! Grab your snorkel and scamper over the rocks to enjoy some of the best snorkeling ever! My son is an aquarist and noted almost 50 different species in the waters directly behind the condo. Snorkel on a calm day as the waters get stirred up and cloudy on windy days. You can also safely and easily enter the water from the beach or dock on the other side of the property. Besides the gorgeous views and snorleling, you can enjoy the two pools, which we had to ourselves the entire week, and never leave the property. This condo is a real find, and a gem...don't miss the opportunity to spend some time in paradise at Tranquility Nassau! We will be back!
