Perfect!

If a five-star hotel complex is not what you're looking for this is the place for you. I can't imagine a better place to stay at! Van is an absolutely amazing man who offers great hospitality. The house is in a great location, near the beach and a 30 min walk or 5/10 min bus ride to downtown. I fell in love with this wonderful island the second I stepped off the plane and the great people I met made me never want to leave! I recommend this place to everyone planning to go to Nassau.

Beautiful Sunsets at Sunset Cove

Ideal apartment for our family of 3 to relax and refresh after a week aboard a dive boat. Everything is new, fresh, spacious and clean. It's so close to the water, you can practically tumble out the patio doors and into the crystal clear ocean. Walk across the street for delicious authentic food (get it to go & enjoy back on the patio). Also a convenience store next to the restaurant. Peter & Mary provide a handy list of restaurants, things to do, and there is a phone so you can make dinner reservations or call for a taxi. The #10 bus passes in front so you can ride to the other beaches, the Fish Fry, a daiquiri shack, or downtown. Rocky beach straight out, but sandy beaches on either side of the property. We found great snorkeling just to the east of the park and radio tower next door--as good as some of the reefs we dove elsewhere in The Bahamas--sea fans, live coral, schools of reef fish, spotted eagle rays. We also took advantage of the 3 kayaks available. Quite a ways from downtown but close to the airport although not on any flight paths. Agree with the everything said by the other reviewer and that the pictures and description are accurate. We loved this place and highly recommend it.

convenient

We wanted to stay away from large resorts and explore the local area. Julie's villa is in exactly the right spot for walking into Nassau, enjoying Fish Fry, the zoo, the cricket club for games and food, catching a bus to any area and just feeling more at home and relaxed. She and her family are great hosts. We had 5 nights at the villa and wish we could have spent longer. If we get the opportunity to return to Nassau we will book with Julie again. Thank you and your family Julie.
