The perfect stay and the perfect host!

5 of 5
Me and my three friends stayed at Van's place for almost three months (august-november) and it was perfect! Van is the most friendly man I have ever met, and he made our stay so much better. The location is really good (we rented another house before we found this house, and moved back to Van only after a week because nothing can compare to the great location and to the wonderfull host he was). Van helps you with everything, so you could easily travel to the Bahamas alone and stay at this place, because you never feel alone when you live at this place. There are many apartments and rooms so you will get to know people from all over the world. Me and my friends came to the Bahamas to work at an orphanage, and we knew nothing about how to get around in the Bahamas or where the orphanage was located, so one of the first things Van did when we came to his house was to take us to the orphanage and help us talk to the employees. That was a huge comfort. I would go back in a heartbeat!! It was totally perfect.

convenient

5 of 5
We wanted to stay away from large resorts and explore the local area. Julie's villa is in exactly the right spot for walking into Nassau, enjoying Fish Fry, the zoo, the cricket club for games and food, catching a bus to any area and just feeling more at home and relaxed. She and her family are great hosts. We had 5 nights at the villa and wish we could have spent longer. If we get the opportunity to return to Nassau we will book with Julie again. Thank you and your family Julie.

Great location and breathtaking view

4 of 5
We had the pleasure of staying at this apartment for 10 nights in March of this year. The apartment is very conveniently located, close to stores (groceries, shopping center, fast food, bank, etc.) and restaurants and felt safe because it is in a gated community. The apartment has everything you need, two nice bedrooms and bathrooms and an adequate living room with a table for four and a huge comfy sofa. The kitchen is rather tight (2 people in there and it's full) and has no dishwasher but is otherwise well equipped. When we got there the ocean was very rough and the waves actually splashed on the balcony, so we couldn't use it at first. All rooms have amazing ocean views and make you feel like you're on a boat rather than in a normal apartment. We had to pay usd 2.50 per cycle of laundry / drying which we thought was a bit much, especially since you couldn't use normal quarters but had to buy tokens from the office located in the building (check operating hours). The onsite caretaker was very helpful and friendly and the owner was more than happy to answer any of our questions beforehand. Overall we were very happy to have chosen this apartment and would come back in the future. We miss waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves...
