Beautiful beach villa

4 of 5
My family and I enjoyed this home very much. we felt safe in the gated community. Everyone there was extremely friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool very much, it made our down time at the house easier as a parent. Overall the home was well maintained, but there are little things going on that the Owner may not even be aware... those things that you only see when you stay at a place for a bit. Be prepared to buy all the basics. there are no spices or paper towels, trash bags etc.. Also would be nice to have a broom and basic cleaning supplies to just sweep the sand at the end of a busy day on the beach. The home was relatively clean except the showers.... felt like a gymnasium, one hasn't been cleaned in quite awhile by the master bedroom. I get that it sometimes can be tough to get a home clean between renters but the owners probably have no idea. The comforters on the beds are polyester, not cotton, so there was visible stains...A quilt that can be washed would make more sense in a place like this. The newer single Shower was clogged and filled up quickly... just a little Drano would fix the clogs...if it wasn't so expensive on the island, we would have just bought some. We lost power a few times due to the new construction of the Baha Mar resort. It came back on within an hour each time, but just make sure you know where the candles are in the house, just in case. If you need something it is a phone call away, we ran out of gas on the grill, someone came by that evening with a new tank, very pleased. Don't be afraid to rent a car, we did and were grateful... much easier to explore the island, get groceries, booze etc.. Overall this home has amazing views, great sunsets. just a beautiful spot with nice beaches nearby. The outdoor living area is as nice as the pictures indicate. we would stay here again.

Spectacular home

5 of 5
Words can not describe this property. 8 of us rented this house (7 adults, 1 child 8 yrs old). First off, when you open the doors to this home, you are in awe. Pictures certainly don't do this house justice. Everything is nicely decorated, up to date, well maintained, clean, and homey. The views off of the front of this house are just beautiful as was the pool. We thought we might go out a lot, but found that we were happy being at the house most of the time. We snorkeled in front of the house and saw beautiful fish, coral, and sea urchins. If you pay attention to the water you see a lot more. We saw sting rays, a turtle, and 2 nurse sharks..awesome! The house has everything, just bring your bathing suit because that is what you live in mostly! Never a boring moment here. We highly recommend it and plan on returning in the future.

If you are on the fence about doing it, JUST DO IT!

5 of 5
This was our first VRBO experience. It was terrific. The house was beautiful. The kitchen and dining room were great, and the deck was amazing. The entire house exceed our expectations. The house manager/maintenance person were very helpful for the very minor requests we had of them. We would HIGHLY recommend Joe for taxi services. He is great, fair priced and very accommodating. While we would not refer to the grocery store as within walking distance, after 1 major trip to the store we were able to survive off of quick stops at the market or liquor store on the way back from day trips. We also utilized the fisherman's market to purchase grouper and fresh lobster for 3 different meals. Joe, the taxi driver, was very helpful in this transaction. We had 6 in our group but easily could have accommodated 8. If you are looking for time on the beach, you will need to set up a day trip or half day trip to the beach on paradise island. The water access at the home is rough and rocky, so bring water shoes. The snorkeling right in front of the house was nice as there were a couple reefs a little ways out. Also, our incoming flight was re-routed and we ended up getting in 7 hours later than we were supposed to. Most liquor stores close by 8 or so and most are not open on Sunday. What you can find will have limited hours, limited availability and higher prices. If you have a chance, go to "Fish Fry" area for lunch or dinner. We really enjoyed it. Overall, we had a very good time and have no reservations about recommending the property to others.
