                SLICE OF HEAVEN

                5 of 5
This is definitely one of the most ideal vacation rentals we have ever experienced. Pictures do not do this house and property justice - nicer than we could have hoped. The house was so well furnished and comfortable, it was as if it was our own home. The private pier was in great condition with a fish cleaning station and whips to keep the boat away from the pier. The property manager Donny couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We caught the beginning of a hurricane while it was still a tropical storm. Donny came over and got us a protected slip when the worst night hit. It was amazing - we didn't even have to call him, he just was there! Tahiti beach, just 1/4 mile by boat, was probably the best beach we have ever been to - the most crystal clear water I have ever seen with beautiful palms on the shore and a view of the ocean through Talloo cut. The house was perfect, equipped with everything you need. Don't shop until you check out the kitchen. The rule of thumb is leave anything you want, use anything you want. There were plenty of spices, condiments, coffee filters, and the kitchen utensils and supplies were plentiful and very clean. We fished both in the ocean and the Sea of Abaco. Fished for snapper - got a small one but a keeper and then we hooked a big one! Saw the shark eat our dinner, bait, hook and line! We bought fish for dinner in Hopetown. There is great snorkeling at Mermaid's Reef and then to lunch at Snappa's. Went to Pete's Pub (don't miss this one) and had fabulous coconut cracked conk and Blasters (heaven). Saw a lot of Hopetown and had fresh local conch salad. The huge front porch got a lot of use. We were adopted by the island dog Rigatoni - fed him morning and night. He napped on the porch and acted as guard dog when anyone or animal came near our beach. We were sitting at Cracker P's (another great place right near the house) and he came strolling up the stairs and made himself at home. I miss him. We couldn't have had a better time, unless of course we had stayed longer. Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven!
