You won't want to leave

5 of 5
This was our second stay in Whistling Duck. We spent a week here in January 2014 as well. It is a terrific getaway. It's private and just the right size for a couple. It's well appointed and comfortable, and has everything you need. It overlooks Lochabar Harbor, which is beautiful, and it is an easy walk to a beach, a blue hole, and great birdwatching. You can kayak to three different cays and see rays, turtles and fish along the way. It's a quiet, restful place that you won't want to leave. Although you can walk to Clarence Town from the cottage (a longish walk), you'll want a car to explore the island, to go out to eat, and to buy groceries, water, etc.

Perfect in every way!

What a wonderful place, a perfect cottage for 2! We travel often and this is our favorite place in the Bahamas. Very, very quiet and the view is unforgettable. The caretakers Nancy & Sena were so helpful and friendly, they even brought us fresh bread when we couldn't locate any. If you want turquoise waters, sunny days with a caribbean breeze, and your biggest concern is the number of days left before you have to leave then this is the place!

Phenomenal!!!!!

This place was the best place we have ever stayed in the out islands. We spent 3 weeks in this paradise. The house was beautiful, clean, and had a great view! The owners were outstanding and let us have our privacy yet provided anything we needed and even spent time with us to show us places we never would have found! We already plan to go back for 2 weeks later this year! We were very impressed with the offerings of the grocery as it was very well stocked. Stores were within walking distance which we did several times as well as a saturday farmers market where you get to meet locals and get local produce, straw goods, and hot sauces. Beaches are pristine and beautiful! Phil and Debbie can offer great recommendations of where to go. Various restaurants range from high end continental cuisine at Chez Pierre to local Bahamaian dishes including fresh conch salad, fried grouper, cracked conch, peas and rice, curried goat, etc.at establishments such as Max's, Seaside Village, and Forest takeaway. Highly recommend this rental property!!! Ease iinto island time and enjoy the stars, moon, and sound of the water!
