Exuma - paradise on earth

5 of 5
We (4 people) stayed in the Cut Pearl house for 5 days and it really exceeded our expectations by far. Though it’s about half an hour from the airport but you’ll get probably the most private beach on the island. When you enter the house the first thing you see is the azure water. The view from the veranda just blew us away. From the veranda a few steps leed you directly to the beach an the crystal clear water. The house is very spacious and very clean and provides plenty of amenities. You have everything you need: air-condition, an oven, even a dishwasher, a grill and the kitchen is fully equipped. There are even kayaks and snorkel equipment. Inside you have wi-fi and a TV with Netflix. Dean (the home owner) was very helpfull and always responded very quickly to my mails. He organised that the caretaker’s sister picked us up at the airport and helped us renting a car. Then she brought us to the house and on the way she showed us the supermarket and other places of interest. The caretaker’s son (Theo) took us on a boat trip and showed us the highlights of the exumas. He took us snorkeling, to the swimming pigs and other sights. Overall I can highly recommend this property. After the 5 days we were so sad that we had to leave and we decided to come back one day.

PERFECT vacation. Beautiful, new house on the best beach in the Exumas.

We rented the orange house for a week in July and it was an incredible experience. I cannot say enough about the owners who we worked with to book this. They were extremely responsive to all questions and had everything taken care of. We didn't have to bring a thing! They even had fresh water jugs delivered to the house for us. And a cell phone in case we needed to make local calls. And beach towels, chairs, a cooler, etc. The house seems brand new...has TV, wifi, laundry machines, a huge kitchen, nice bathrooms, etc. It's not directly on the beach, but it's VERY close. A 2 minute walk and you're on the best beach in The Exumas. And truly THE BEST beach. Little Exuma is the perfect place to really get away. It's a little far from town, so make sure to get all groceries when you get in from airport. It was quiet and peaceful in Little Exuma and we felt very safe. Definitely recommend going to eat at Tropic Breeze Restaurant and Santana's of course. But the best nights were just cooking in the house. The no-seeum bugs can be a bit of a problem, but just plan to wear bug spray at night or early in morning if you go outside. The house is beautiful and fully equipped - I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. You could definitely sleep 6-8 people, but it was perfect for 4. And the owners are the best - so nice! The Exumas is one of the best kept secrets of the Bahamas. You can't beat the color of the water and the quietness of the island. It's a magical place. Just bring your sunscreen and you're all set! Thank you to the two owners for everything!

Nice home off the beaten path

4 of 5
Wonderful, secluded home made a good base for our adventures. We specifically sought a location more removed from others and we found it at Quinta Vida. None of the 2 or 3 other properties along the visible shore were rented, so we enjoyed exploring the shoreline in both directions. For a remote property, it is well appointed and the AC kept us cool. The patio/ deck is great, catching the breeze with comfortable seating. It took just over an hour to drive there from the airport, and the market is closed around lunch on Sunday, so we did a fair amount of driving to stock up for the week to have food to cook. The drive was the price for seclusion, and we knew this going in. The house is on the best stretch of beach south of the Tropic of Cancer beach, with great views and swimmable waters.
