Great house in a great area

5 of 5
We stayed at the house for 6 days and had a great time. The house was perfect for our family of four. Tessa is very responsive to any questions and wants guest to enjoy her house and their time on the island. The pictures in the listing show you what you are getting. Everyone in the neighborhood was very friendly. This was our second trip to Eleuthera. On our first trip we stayed in Rainbow bay, which is beautiful like all of the island, however we liked Oleander Gardens area more. The beach is beautiful and a great take off point for Stand up paddling (which we rented from Bahamas adventures), snorkeling..etc Tom and Pearl who live on the point are great. We hired Tom to take us snorkeling and fishing for the day and had a perfect time out on his boat. Tom knows just about everything about the island which made the day fun for the whole family. We would definitely recommend Tessa and Oliver’s house and hope to return. If we didn’t live so far away we would make it an annual trip.

Feel like Royalty!

5 of 5
Best Vacation EVER! Thanks to Scott, Ernie, Tracey, Tira and the rest of the crew! Description was very accurate but still doesn't do the property justice. We had plenty of room for our multi-family vacation with ages from 2-67. We loved using the kayaks and snorkeling as well as using the fire pit. A welcomed surprise was how well we were able to see the stars at night! We saw the edge of the Milky Way and were so lucky to be there during a meteor shower! Keep your aloe and sunscreen at home, there is plenty at the house. One thing you may want to bring with you is toilet paper. The house provides the first round of paper products and water but guests need to supply the rest. We found out that toilet paper is very expensive on the island compared to our Ohio prices. Water was $5 per jug to fill up so not too bad. Our group drank a lot of coffee as well so we went through about 2 jugs of water a day. Tracey, Ernie and Tira made us feel like Royalty and took such great care of us! Tracey and Ernie even made an arch for our wedding day at the property! The bouquet that Sonya and Tracey made was beautiful, also! Talent abounds with the staff of Sunset Villa. This is definitely a vacation that we'll all be talking about for years to come. Tracey and the crew feel like part of the family and we are relaxed beyond belief. We can't wait to return!!!

Spectacular luxury home w/ breathtaking views

5 of 5
Our stay at Cay House was fabulous! It was among the three best vacations that we've ever had and a lot of the credit goes to Cay House. We absolutely loved this property and can't wait to go back. Allow me highlight reasons why this property is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation in Eleuthera - 1) We enjoy staying in higher-end luxury accommodations and the pictures really do NOT do this place justice. The house is beautiful but yet still laid back. Perfectly suited for the relaxing environment that is Eleuthera. It's very well laid out and has everything you'll need (fully loaded kitchen, loads & loads of towels and even 15-20 bottles of sun screen) for a great vacation. Only things you'll want to remember - bring your own bath soap and washing detergent (for the washer/dryer). 2) There is no way to describe how amazing this location is. You step off your porch and you're on a very secluded beach in seconds. This is how celebs must vacation. Gaulding Cay is a wonderful beach where we saw 5 other people during our entire 10 days there. We normally had the beach all to ourselves and it was fantastic. Also, this location makes day trips to Harbour Island or Spanish Wells very easy, and there are plenty of grocery options (including the best one on the island) and restaurants nearby (you MUST go to The Front Porch). 3) Caribbean side was better for us. This home is on the Caribbean side and that was a big plus. We have two small children (ages 4 & 6) and our beach was perfect for them. At low tide, the water is so shallow that even the 4 y.o. could walk to the little island which is 250 yards from the house. And the water was perfectly calm (no waves is helpful for the kids) and absolutely gin clear. So awesome that the kids started calling the beach "our swimming pool". 4) Great snorkeling! Wow! Some really fantastic marine life right offshore from our beach, especially at the far end of the little island. We saw parrot fish, crayfish, groupers, loads of small colorful fish and even a stingray. But the absolute highlight was drinking coffee one morning and noticing three dark objects jetting across the water on our beach. After quickly jumping in with snorkel gear and swimming out about 75 yards, we found ourselves in the company of three incredible (and very large) eagle rays as they were foraging for their morning meal. Unforgettable. Anyhow, hopefully that helps. Great house. Great island. Loved IT!
