Slack Tide is STUNNING!!

5 of 5
The property is GORGEOUS!!! It was the perfect place for us and after our 12 day stay, it felt like home. We enjoyed every inch of that property...to lounging on the patio in the mornings and late afternoons to the pool and snorkeling right off the dock. We had boat access half of our stay so it was great to have the dock and be right there on the water although we also took advantage of relaxing there while sitting in the adirondack's with a great sunset view. By boat we enjoyed exploring neighboring islands, snorkeling, swimming and finding little gem beaches. The home is fully stocked with amenities. The grounds surrounding Slack Tide were pristine as well as the entire surrounding area in our private/gated little community. Great little surrounding beaches on Great Guana Cay (we spent 3 days at Orchid Bay alone) and fantastic laid-back restaurants/bars that we happily drove our golf cart to daily. Our transition from the airport all the way to the property was effortless (even with 2 small children) thanks to the efforts of the owner, Angie, and Melonie. Upon booking the trip, they were always available to answer questions and provide us with any/all the information we needed to get the most out of our vacation. They helped us arrange a taxi from the airport in Marsh Harbor to the Ferry dock and our driver stopped for us to pick up a few items at the grocery store. It was an exciting and short 30 minute ferry ride as we couldn't wait to get there. Once we arrived at the dock on Guana. Melonie greated us with a small vehicle to carry our belongings to the house as well as our golf cart. Melonie was very helpful during our stay and arranged for us to have fresh seafood which she delivered right to our door or our frig? I could go on and on, truly, but the rest you'll have to see for yourself! You won't be disappointed with Slack Tide or all that surrounds you within those beautiful amazing Cays! Special Thanks to all at Slack Tide for making our stay so perfect and so comfortable. This trip is definitely one to remember!!!

Heaven on Earth!

Temara met my every expectation and much, much more! The house was well stocked with every comfort of home. Temara was very clean and in great condition. The pictures don't do it justice. My family of six fit very comfortably in Temara. The dock was wonderful. Snorkeling and swimming right off the dock is priceless. We rented a boat and had an amazing time snorkeling, especially at Fowl Cay, hopping from Cay to Cay for great food and drink and finding amazing beaches as well as hanging out in the flats. Honestly the best vacation I've ever had. We can't wait to come back.

The Perfect Beachfront Getaway

5 of 5
My husband and I just returned from our 3rd visit to Great Guana and feel we have found the perfect spot for us. It's a charming 3-bedroom house recently renovated with large windows all around taking advantage of the lovely view and especially the breezes. We have not found that in many houses. We had to use the a/c one night during a rain storm and it worked very well. The upstairs bedroom with balcony is a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail taking in that spectacular view. We enjoyed the large deck overlooking the beach as well as the folding chairs and umbrella for the beach. A covered patio table for dining was nice to have as well. I found everything we needed for the light cooking we did. You can walk to the grocery store, liquor store as well as Nipper's, Grabbers and the marina side snack shop. We enjoyed having a cart to check out the island but it is not needed. In fact, we felt it was faster to walk to Nipper'sthan it was driving the cart. TV had several channels to catch a game or movie. We bought the internet package with Bahama WiFi for $35/week and it worked very well. The laundromat had closed on the island so not having a washer and dryer was a small issue for wet towels and clothes. It's not a negative but just needed to know that ahead of time to bring clothes to wash in the sink instead. We had excellent contact with the owner and also the house keeper, Glenda, went above and beyond for us when our flight delayed us causing us to miss the last ferry to Guana. She's a gem and a testament to the hospitality of the Bahamas! It's the quintessential beach house. I highly recommend it for couples or families wanting to have a little piece of paradise if only for a week.
