Coral Sands was better than I had hoped for, the pictures don't quite do it justice. When we got out of the taxi and Peter showed us the back deck we could hardly contain our excitement. The view is fantastic and sipping coffee each morning while looking out at the neon aqua bay framed by palm trees couldn't be beat.
We were in the master suite (a very generous upgrade due to the other apts. being booked up, thank you Betty & Peter!) which was incredibly spacious, open and airy with comfortable couches that were perfect for reading at night. The bedroom was huge with a lounge area as well. The shower was great, three shower heads with good water pressure, such a luxury. We cooked most nights, the kitchen had the basic essentials. The house is well designed (and nicely decorated) with high recessed ceilings, lots of ceiling fans and plenty of light coming in from the sliding glass doors. We never needed to put on the AC.
Peter was so warm and welcoming and very helpful with any questions we had about, directions to beaches, favorite restaurants etc. I am so glad he recommended Santana's, definitely the best meal of our trip. We also rented Peter's car which made things so simple, it was already parked in the driveway, rented it for the days we needed it and explored the island. I loved the ease of it all.
In the evenings we would enjoy a cocktail on the beach with our toes in the water and pretty much have the beach to ourselves. We hung out with the turtles down the beach, so cool. Took the kayak for a spin and waded in the calm clear water.
We didn't want to leave such a nice house in such a perfect location. We will certainly be back, and that's not something I ever say due the long list of places I want to travel to in the world, but this place, Exuma and Coral Sands is definitely worth another visit!
