              ABSOLUTELY PERFECT (PART 2)!

              5 of 5
continued.... Before we had left home, we emailed a list of questions to John and Sharon, and they had responded with answers to all of them so we were prepared when we arrived in Great Exuma. Some of our questions were about personal safety, such as “Where is the nearest hospital?”, but others were about things such as “What restaurants do you recommend?” or “Where can we get our hair braided?”. Not only did they answer our questions, but Sharon even scheduled an appointment at Tranee’s Salon for us to get our hair braided! On one of our last evenings there, John called and asked if we would like to join him and Sharon for the barbeque at the Peace and Plenty. Of course we wanted to join them! It was a fun evening, with great company, and the food was delicious! When it was time for us to go back home, John and Sharon came to the house to pick us up and drive us to the airport. Once at the airport, some people we had met earlier in the week said that flights were canceled, so John stayed with us until we were sure our flight was on schedule. We said our goodbyes once we knew we would be going home that day. Our only regret about the trip was that we didn’t have a few more days to spend there! Other than that, it was a perfect vacation for our family. We can’t wait to go back again! Thanks John and Sharon for the great place to stay at a very reasonable price! We have been recommending this rental to everyone we talk to!

              QUIET EXUMA GETAWAY.

              4 of 5
Exuma is a beautiful island. A great place to go if you want to relax with a a good book or rest in a comfortable hammock with an amazing view. Johannas place is as lovely as she is. It is clean and well equipped with everything you would probably need. Her location is on a very quiet part of the island. (Probably 20 minutes from Georgetown) We were able to use her 2 kayaks to kayak to beautiful little deserted islands. We also kayaked down to the new Turquoise Cay ($$$$) Restaurant (Excellent food and ambience). We snorkeled once out in front of the dock. Not a lot to see under water compared to other islands that we've been to. The best part of Exuma is the views! Favorite meals were at Santana's $22 double lobster tails and Latitudes - good food and fun bartender Alex!

OUR AMAZING WEEK AT EXUMA BLUE

              5 of 5
We booked a last minute trip to the Bahamas and lucky for us Exuma Blue was available. The cottage was spotlessly clean and just as it appears in the pictures. Tina showed us amazing hospitality by leaving lots of food in the freezer for us to use, including homemade tamales!!! We were looking for a romantic getaway and that is exactly what we got. Beautiful ocean view from the deck during the day and at night we took in some amazing stargazing. There is lots to do, we took a trip over to Stocking Island and fed the stingrays, did some snorkeling and of course, some exploring!! We couldn't get over the deserted beaches - we had three mile beach all to ourselves. Easy walking distance into town and the grocery store, as well as restaurants. We were sad to come home to winter - and hope we can go again soon. I have already recommended Exuma Blue to friends and family. Thanks for a wonderful experience Tina!!
