Elegant Comfort

5 of 5
When you first arrive on this private property drive you know this home is set above vacation home rental. Your first look you can see the attention to detail from the landscape gardens, the circular drive, and exterior lighting shines out elegant and you haven't even started. As you look through the large window and see the pure blue ocean water you feel relaxed and "Hearts Ease" grabs you're heart. The extra large living area has room for all right down to the comfortable beds with it's own shower n soaking tub. There was just 2 of us, we came for rest, and a little adventure. We never made it to all the beaches. The best lunch was "The Front Porch" for Lobster burger, and Rock Crab Claws" the best, and Bill n Brenda's for Island lunch just 2 of our favorites. Hope you can come and see for yourself.

Amazing location!!

4 of 5
This house is adjacent to a very beautiful beach called French Leave which is one of the Top 10 beaches in Eleuthera. It’s a beach that’s approximately a mile and a half long, beautiful pink sand and great for walking and you’ll barely see people there. The house itself is a nice house nicely, though sparingly furnished. On the negative side the house does not have its own water supply and water has to be brought in by a truck and put in the tank so there is very little water pressure and if you want to take a shower it comes in little dribbles so don’t expect a good hot shower. Additionally, there is no hard lined phone service here nor Internet so both phone and Internet have to be through cell service which can be difficult. The house is in a remote location which we love because we enjoy the privacy and yet it is only around a five minute drive to a town where you can buy most of your groceries so we found the location to be delightful. Additionally being on the Atlantic Coast of Eleuthera it is often very windy so make sure to bring a windbreaker as even during the days the winds blow quite briskly.

Spectacular Plantation Setting, Excellent Service

5 of 5
Every part of our stay at Tír na nÓg was outstanding. Before arriving, during our stay, and even after we returned home my service expectations were far exceeded. We explored Eleuthera from top to bottom and can confirm what others have already said - the beach and plantation setting of Tír na nÓg can’t be beat! You can wake to a glorious sunrise over an expanse of swaying palm trees, take a short walk to the Great Room for breakfast, stroll down to the beachfront cabana for a long pink sand beach walk, swim in the warm crystal clear reef protected bay, BBQ lunch on the Great Room veranda, crack a fresh coconut, snorkel over healthy reefs right off the beach, boogie board at high tide, play tennis, then save your driving for the short trip to Tippy’s for dinner (or even better, hire your own local chef and dine in!). Kelly and Christine took fabulous care of both the house and us every day of our stay. If a private, peaceful and spectacularly beautiful Bahamian Out Island adventure is what you’re looking for, I couldn’t recommend Tír na nÓg more highly. Enjoy! Top tip – bring a suitcase of your favorite foods/snacks/wine.
