Fantastic Holiday Rental - A Tropical Paradise!

4 of 5
Waterford House was one of the few properties still available when we decided late in the Fall to try to find a warm weather oceanfront rental for the Christmas holidays. I'm glad it was as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there and it quickly became the backdrop of many special holiday memories! I must admit that I was cautious having read the one negative review however, our experience was very positive and we had no issues. My family, including three teens, stayed in the house while my dad used the cottage. It was great to come together with everyone whether we were hanging out at the pool, the beach or finishing the day reading as the sun set on the upper deck. The house is clean, well maintained and fully stocked - kitchen items, books, DVDs/CDs, family games. There are plenty of comfortable beach chairs and pool loungers. We are beach people and this was the perfect property for us! It is a tropical paradise and many days we had it exclusively to ourselves! I have high praise for everyone I dealt with renting this property - the property manager, the owner, the groundskeepers, the housekeepers - all were very helpful and delivered excellent customer service.

Elegant Comfort

5 of 5
When you first arrive on this private property drive you know this home is set above vacation home rental. Your first look you can see the attention to detail from the landscape gardens, the circular drive, and exterior lighting shines out elegant and you haven't even started. As you look through the large window and see the pure blue ocean water you feel relaxed and "Hearts Ease" grabs you're heart. The extra large living area has room for all right down to the comfortable beds with it's own shower n soaking tub. There was just 2 of us, we came for rest, and a little adventure. We never made it to all the beaches. The best lunch was "The Front Porch" for Lobster burger, and Rock Crab Claws" the best, and Bill n Brenda's for Island lunch just 2 of our favorites. Hope you can come and see for yourself.

Amazing location!!

4 of 5
This house is adjacent to a very beautiful beach called French Leave which is one of the Top 10 beaches in Eleuthera. It’s a beach that’s approximately a mile and a half long, beautiful pink sand and great for walking and you’ll barely see people there. The house itself is a nice house nicely, though sparingly furnished. On the negative side the house does not have its own water supply and water has to be brought in by a truck and put in the tank so there is very little water pressure and if you want to take a shower it comes in little dribbles so don’t expect a good hot shower. Additionally, there is no hard lined phone service here nor Internet so both phone and Internet have to be through cell service which can be difficult. The house is in a remote location which we love because we enjoy the privacy and yet it is only around a five minute drive to a town where you can buy most of your groceries so we found the location to be delightful. Additionally being on the Atlantic Coast of Eleuthera it is often very windy so make sure to bring a windbreaker as even during the days the winds blow quite briskly.
