Beautiful getaway

5 of 5
This place was so beautiful and was just what we needed. It was very private and peaceful. My daughter and I stayed here for the week and rarely left the beach. We had intentions of eating out at different restaurants but we purchased food at the grocery store. It turned into a "glamping" vacation lol picnics on the beach, outdoor showering and barefoot walking. Every night we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean and it was glorious! Doon was so kind and helpful she made us feel right at home. The beach was pretty much ours alone the whole time. Only a handful of people passed by with a smile and a wave. I definitely give this place a thumbs up. Great place to getaway from it all.

A Beautiful Place to Relax

5 of 5
This was our fifth visit to Eleuthera and our first stay at “Up the Hill” (UTH). Up the Hill is a five minute walk to the Atlantic and has it's own private entrance to miles of beautiful sandy beaches with amazingly few people. Two excellent restaurants are within walking distance. The privacy offered by UTH was extremely important to us; you only see other houses at a distance. The decks and front patio allow for a choice of sun or shade at all times of the day; sunrises are outstanding. After a swim or relaxing in the sun, there is an outside shower with hot water. The owners have done an outstanding job of making UTH a place where visitors can quickly get settled in for a relaxing stay. Lots of thought and hard work has gone into the furnishings of UTH. Excellent art by one of the owners and by regional artists is throughout the house. The owners have assembled a most useful guide to everything about the house and the Governor's Harbour area; the guide also covers areas of interest on the rest of the island. The kitchen had everything we needed, and after arriving on a late day flight, we found a bottle of wine and other items which meant that we didn't have to shop until the next day. Television, high speed internet, an office-library with a wide variety of books and many other amenities were greatly appreciated. We would stay here by choice another time and strongly recommend a stay at Up the Hill to anyone seeking complete relaxation.

Most Restful Vacation Ever

5 of 5
My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Jasmine House. The house is just as advertised. We didn't use the AC. Everything we did use worked perfectly. WiFi was excellent. We rented the jeep from Cordy. It is getting a little worn but was reliable. We spent a couple of days at the lovely beach on the property. We also spent a day at Harbor Island and spent several days finding nearby pink sand beaches where we made the only footprints. We did our grocery shopping at Governors Harbor and the Island Farm market down by Palmetto Point. We had a magical evening at the new restaurant at French Leave and also enjoyed Tippy's, the Beach House and Mate & Jennies. Gayle provided excellent information for the house and the area and she checked to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be going back next year. We highly recommend Jasmine House - just don't take our week.
