Exuma gem!

5 of 5
We stayed at this beautiful property over the holiday season! Everything about it was great! John picked us up at the airport, assisted us with getting groceries and touring Georgetown prior to dropping us off at the home. The home was clean and decorated for the holidays which made things extra special. We kayaked, snorkeled and went bonefishing right out the front door. We were able to rent John's car for a fee and this enabled us to tour the island. john did check in on us to make sure all was well. He would also send us email weather updates if he knew of questionable weather forecasts. You would want a car as then you can explore this wonderful island. Groceries are a tad expensive but we expected that after reading other reviews. There is a neat local meat market that will take grocery orders and deliver to your front door prior to your arrival. We left Exuma feeling extremely relaxed. Nice home, nice island and great people! Thanks John and Sharon!

Amazing like a Robinson Holiday

4 of 5
Back to Paris, FRANCE. A fantastic find for this house right on the shore. All the confort I needed for my self, being alone in that house to work at night under the stars (I have to stay connected to my work in France, 6 hours ahead) with a nice little breeze (no need for AC). John was a perfect host, got me at the airport and explained everything about the Exumas, toured around right away. I would swim early morning right away from the dock! The service and attention from John was great with him bringing me a delicious papaya and showing me to pick gava fruits right from the tree on the property and basil leaves also (what a strong and delicious scent all over!). I met Sharon on my last day and is looking forward to know more this very nice person. Very nice flight from Miami and the arrival thanks to the advice of John was amazing overlooking the Exumas. The weather was perfect. Short trip, no time to visit the private island, too bad. John shared with me his deep knowledge of the Exumas, going as far as touring with me all over the place because I decided to find a place here, lot or house to spend retirement in a few years! Thanks again to him. Pascal

The PERFECT, quiet getaway hide-out!

5 of 5
We spent a week at this beautiful, secluded cottage--and it was just what we were looking for: our own private, beautiful white-sand beach tucked away from everyone else! Yes, the water really is that blue... The location to all we needed was perfect--close but not too close. And the guest books were filled with lots of great suggestions, so make sure you read them first. The kitchen was well equipped with whatever we needed for in-house dining, and we enjoyed the fresh coconuts daily! (Look for the machete in the cabinet). Ashley (the owner) and Norm (the caretaker) were delightful to work with, answering all of our questions and assisting us promptly. We would definitely come back to Casuarina House--a lovely romantic getaway at a very affordable price!
