Clean Condo, Beautiful Waters, Perfect Weather

5 of 5
We brought our family of 4 daughters (ages 5-14) to Bimini for Spring Break. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. 2 of the girls slept on the pullout, which was easy to put back together each morning. Dan was incredibly helpful in answering my questions before our trip (first time to the Bahamas) and even met us at the airport to give us a remote for one of the TVs that was new. He had also gone over a few weeks before to provide a couple extra chairs so that our family of 6 could eat at the table together. It was a bit tight, but not uncomfortable. My husband owns a small airplane and we had originally planned to fly it to Bimini, but he ultimately decided to store it in Miami and we chartered a flight from Miami to Bimini. He thought the airport would be unsecured/unmonitored and didn't like the idea of sea salt blowing across it all week. For somebody a little less worried about their aircraft, it would be very easy to fly and land there. The flight was exactly 25 minutes from Miami and beautiful. As for the resort...Resort World...the resort itself is beautiful and spacious. The pools are gorgeous, though we spent most of our time at the beach. The waves were just big enough to be fun for my kids all day, but not so big that I was worried about their safety. The sand was perfect and tons of beautiful seashells to collect. The Resort World Boat that runs from Miami dominates the resort activities. When the boat isn't there, most places are closed and the beach is very quiet. When the boat is there, everything is open, but it has a much bigger 'party' atmosphere. The cost of food on the island and at the resort is very high. Think $15 for a hamburger/fries...$7 for a bottle of beer....$10-12 for frozen drinks. The grocery stores are also very expensive - $8 for a box of cereal, $15 for a case of water, $6 for milk. You can't bring over alcohol, but you can bring your own food, which I would recommend. We did venture out into the town for meals and if you are willing to go on some back roads, you can find some good food for more reasonable prices...other than that, be prepared to spend $. Activities - We went snorkeling with the Big Game club Diving group - they were great - $60/person. We considered swimming with the dolphins but decided not to. That is $120/person. We didn't look into it, but there are opportunities to go fishing, and restaurants will cook your fish for you after you clean it.

VERY pleased!

We stayed for just one weekend and we were extremely happy that we chose this unit. We were all very comfortable. It was very clean, towels and linens were provided and were clean as well. Lazara, the owner was very helpful and very friendly. We are already planning our next trip, we will be returning soon. I will recommend this unit to friends and family
