Idyllic getaway from the routine. A real pleasure.

5 of 5
Now that we have returned to the routine, I wanted to express my appreciation for our time spent at your wonderful house on Andros. Thanks so much for accommodating our extended stay on Friday night. Truthfully, it took a while for my wife and I to decompress and realize the solitude afforded by Nicholl’s Town and it’s residents but by the end of our stay, we were perfectly assimilated into the lifestyle. We thoroughly enjoyed the friends we made in the town as well as the things we learned while there. We did attend church at Mizpah Baptist on Mother’s Day and enjoyed dinner afterwards with the congregation. All-in-all, a wonderful way to spend a holiday. I cannot say enough good things about Zona and the way he treated us. We were his priority and saw to our every need as well as “want”. He managed all this while being totally unobtrusive and making sure we were content. We took a couple of tours with him as guide and I was amazed at the respect he commanded in the community. We never felt anything but welcomed anywhere we went. The trip to Red Bays was particularly interesting and I dare say, without him as guide we would not have ventured into the some of the corners opened to us by his presence. He is a real asset to your guests. I now count him as a friend and have committed to checking on him from time-to-time. Thanks once again and I certainly hope our future travels take us back to Andros where we both look forward to visiting “The Point”. If you ever find yourself near Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, please make contact with us so we can attempt to be as good a guide as Zona was to show you our part of the world.

What an Adventure!

5 of 5
This home was well-kept, and the property surrounding it-- absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! There is also a car port, if needed behind the home. It was nice to have the dining room table that seats 6, the bar area with the large countertop, and the living room, with seating for 6 as well. We could spread out during the week! (Although most of our time was spent outside!) The yard is beautiful and well-kept! The patch-reefs and the deep hole right off the old dock, are amazing for snorkeling! Mrs. Neely's bakery is a MUST for delicious homemade goodness during your stay. Ms. Lena down the block has many supplies. Thank you Jerry and Linda for your information and contacts on the island! We had a blast!

Start relaxing... you're on South Andros.

4 of 5
South Andros... forget your daily worries, no stress here. We stayed at Greg's place for 5 days. It is located a few hundred meters from the airport. Greg will pick you up by bike... :-) He will stay in the cottage next to yours and is always available for questions or anything that might come up. Great guy! Mind you that South Andros is not a tourist destination, but rather a peaceful and quiet destination with no stress. Rent a car, the Island is too big. There are no ATM's. Just one bank where you would be able to retrieve some cash, but better to bring some. The few grocery shops carry a limited amount of items. We found one shop though that was well stocked and worth the drive (20-30 minutes). It's called Seaville Foodstore (closed on Saturdays) in Kemps Bay. You cannot get lost on South Andros, theres just one road. Things to do: 1. Snorklers: blue holes at Mars Bay (perfect round blue hole - no fish; visit at low tide) and the 2 blue holes just North of Kemps Bay (lots of fish!!). 2. Scuba: inland blue holes, "Coral garden". 4. Hiking: blue hole trail. 3. We liked the food at Skipper's bar (just North of Kemps Bay). Get conch in as many possible ways as you can (fried, salad, etc). South Andros... glad we've been.
